Love that 7".

I Found Peter Westheimer's Move lp, Frederick M, Ark of Bone/Abiku Red split, Alan Burnham's Music To Save The World By 7" and a few others in the last two years...

That's about $18-$20 too high for the Model Citizens lp. It's fine if you like US wave/pop....

Ninjas is Bjorn Copeland from Black Dice doing solo lo-fi noise pop. If it came out today it would be much heralded as it's at least as good as all of that crap the kids today like. He also had a single and 12" on Smashing Time and/or What's Your Rupture... I don't have that 12" and would probably pick it up for < $6....

Eric Copeland actually. He has a few singles, a tape, I believe 2 LPs (though one is more like an EP), and everyone's favorite format, a cassingle. The last, unreleased stuff he did is the best though in my opinion. It's more stripped down & the vocals are more upfront. It's the strongest melody-wise & some of it is pretty psychedelic. There's a bunch of it too. I agree - it would probably get way more attention if it came out now. If I had the money....

100% accurate - can't believe I wrote Bjorn... Andy Adler played on some of the tracks as well.

from arizona?  really?  i never saw a copy in all my years.

I'm 90% that Kugelberg mentioned it was from Arizona in Ugly Things... My copy (and the insert) do not mention it...

Nay. If you need a spare, I have a spare of the blue cover version.

The interwebs are telling me QRN are from Quebec (Montreal, specifically).

I believe one of the cassette comps containing a QRN track was in the collection.

An Insane music tape? It looks like they may be from Canada...  Sorry for the confusion AA.

Thanks on the Dockstader offer - but I'm covered.

What's the deal with that QRN 7"? I haven't listened to it yet.

The 1st John Bender LP is phenomenal.

Some (more - yes, some double photos) of the LPs:

Arizona DIY electonic record from '84... All time genre classic (not to say the Bender lps aren't, but I just like QRN a bit more)... I missed out an a spare of it a few years back on the Taang! website priced at $6...

Good haul on the Dockstader lps - but no copies of "Eight Electronic Pieces?"

Quite Riduclous Nonsense 7" > Well Tuned Piano box set...

It's funny how many comps of this sort exist.  I've seen at least four or five different ones, all of which overlap somewhat.  Just yesterday I gave away to a buddy of mine a comp just called Deutschland -- it has a bunch of little dioramas on the cover -- that overlaps with this one about 50%.  Every one of them has "Eine Neue Stadt," something by Der Plan, something by Fehlfarben or Abwarts or both.

DEUTSCHLAND is one of the better ones, it's a US licensed indie comp (the NDW equivalent of "Wanna Buy A Bridge"). it also sometimes goes for a bunch of money.

It's on Cachalot...

JP Video - Given It All BAck 7" - $18 with free shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230483309220
1981 NJ synth single that I found oddly appealing when I found one years ago, but ultimately the $50 or whatever I got for it was of more interest to me at the time.  Discogs pricing ranges $24-$33 + overseas shipping (http://www.discogs.com/JP-Video-Given-It-All-Back-Video-Video/release/742297).  Also see http://www.jpvideo.tv/singles.html

Big fan of this one... Mr. Video is a bit of an "interesting" guy and kept on "promising" to come to visit me at WFMU. He also sporadically sends me links to videos of his backyard bbqs.

On a similar trip I recommend Frankie Knuckles classic 'Tears' 12", which the Suicide track "Frankie Teardrop" is a sly tribute to.

So who owns the time machine - Martin Rev or Alan Vega?

Remember back on Halloween in 1998 when High Rise was playing at the Mercury Lounge and Alan Vega was playing with Pan Sonic at Coney Island High? I caught both shows. Best part was the middle age housewife in leg warmers who played electronic drums backing Vega. Once every 15 minutes she'd pretend to hit the drum pad.
