Music Shit / Townes Van Zandt for beginners

So far I never really paid attention to Townes van Zandt, but the "What music do you listen to when you get jaded with punk?" thread made me check out some youtube clips. I dig what i heard so far but i I see his catalogue is huge. Where should i start? I don't really listen to mp3s or CDs so please tell me which vinyl album(s) to pick up first and/or are essential in your opinion. Thanks!

I'm a big fan of both their singles on Energy records ("Hot for you" and "Ghost of a chance), but i never heard any of their other stuff. According to Discogs, there's 2 LP's and 6 other singles, all on Reekus records. I never heard any of it, and unfortunately, these records are not easy to find and/or expensive. Are they any good? Which ones are worth tracking down? Mp3s anyone?
