also current 93 is playing nyc in march @ santos woo.

That's gonna be great.  Though I shudder to think that WK might join 'em on stage.  I was watching some live footage of Birth Canal Blues and of some shows from the past couple of years.  Tibet seems to drink a lot on stage -- never loses his shit, never misses a line, but def. staggers around a lot, guzzling wine.  The live show is stellar from the looks of it.

yeah i watched that shit a while ago - was cool. wk will most likely be on stage as he is the official bassist.

does anyone know if england's hidden reverse is available for DL on the web somewhere?

The Consipracy Against the Human Race by Thomas Ligotti. Pretty dope non-fiction book by this horror writer. I don't like how academic he tries to be about his claims but am enjoying it nonetheless. One of my favorite writers.

Also: Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes - a collection of the later holmes stories that go more in depth about his neuroses and eccentricities. includes the final story where he faces moriarty though i have not gotten to that one yet. probably my favorite holmes stories i've read.

Gargoyles by Thomas Bernhard. I read most of this a while ago but got bored and put it down somewhere during the repetitive 100 page monologue by Prince Saurau. I thought the monologue was awesome but got bored of it. Picked it up again a few days ago and remembered how much i liked it when i first started reading it. It's a really dope book told from the persepctive of a young man travelling through the morose-ass polish countryside with his father who is a doctor. they encounter many weird characters and situations. great book. i bought another bernhard book "the lime works" - haven't read it but seems mad sick. i was recommended to read another book of his called "correction" as well. seems like an ill enough author.

That Schafferson Jetplane record is a total summer time jammer! It's definitely gonna be the soundtrack to many of our rooftop parties this summer. Can't think of too many other things I'd rather listen to while sippin' on a cold one, admiring the sun for what it does to women's fashion and just kickin' back like I'm in Wavves or something.

kevin leaving this board was the worst thing to ever happen

thought this was pretty good - buscemi has yet to sell me completely on his character though. we didnt really see a whole lot to reveal his personality - hopefully the writers are just playing this one close to the chest so to speak for now and we will get some solid character development in ensuing episodes.

that guy with the high pitched laugh got on my nerves instantly - did he die? if not i only hope he gets cashed soon out so to speak.

best part was the SCARFACE storyline. i hope he plays a somewhat major role in the series. when he said "al capone" i said "Fuck yeah" out loud (i was watching this by myself). this character could be the ace in the show's sleeve so to speak if done right.

the other main character who was in WWI seems alright - that dude was in hedwig and the angry inch. seems like he will sort of be the Christopher to buscemi's Tony. the show's jack of hearts so to speak.

i love how the pine barrens already have played  a roll in the show - reminded me of the sick pine barrens sopranos episode. i hope a lot more goes down in the PBs throughout the series.

scorsese's directing was perhaps a bit lackluster but in a way that's good. this is a tv show not a movie - it's good that he didnt overplay his hand so to speak with the directing. kept things focused on the characters.

the set design looked pretty nice - it's gotta be expensive. hopefully the show has enough viewers to justify the budget and they can keep that level of quality up without breaking the bank so to speak.
