New record kills just like everything else he touches. I get so sick of blood visions this and blood visions that. Sure its a great record dont get me wrong. It was on my tops of 2006 for sure but people act like its the holy fucking grail. However all his other records were great also. I have been a huge fan of Jays music since the first time I heard grown up fucked up like 10 years ago. Always have been impresed with how fresh he can keep his stuff but its still got that this is a song Jay wrote feel.  People always want to compare his stuff to what he did last. Fuck that. I mean if he did the same damn thing over and over I would have lost interest a long time ago. So regardless if its lo fi garage / synth base shit / pop or whatever the guy just knows how to write a good tunes. 

p.s. So bummed that I could not make it to the show with TV smith.
