Memphis Sol Today! by the Gibson Bros. is a great and seldom discussed record.

Couldn't agree more. They bust out Ross Johnson for "Naked Party," nuff said. (Plus Spencer gets pretty evil on Jr. Kimbroughs "I Feel Good, Little Girl"). Great, twisted album.

Sympathy also put out the '68 Comeback album "Mr. Downchild," which I loved back in the day (and still do today though I rarely play it). SFTRI seemed to do pretty right by Monsieur Jeff.

Pretty sure this is long out of print... but the Pagans 30-track comp CD  EVERYBODY HATES YOU is godhead, punk as fuck, all that sort of thing.

I had an email conversation with the drummer years ago and was giving him advice on which labels to talk to about the reissue.  But he later got very ill and passed away, and I think that's what threw everything off.

Dow Jones is on there! Cropping up yet again (on Blood Stains Across the Midwest too)...

Anyone know if the DJ&IA stuff was ever comped and released in full? With all the Gizmos stuff out there you'd think they would have gotten the treatment at some point as well.

Not the easiest name to track down on the internets though...

That's unfortunate in many ways....

Picked this up recently and the B side is a foreign comp. I didn't recognize any of the bands. The record is blank labels. A side matrix is "C-1-A", B side matrix is "Sib. 001. B."  Haven't looked too hard for what the deal is with it, but I figured somebody on here might know.

James Acklin, of Pittsburgh, says it takes a special person to appreciate the imperfections in music recorded on vinyl. As he spins a copy of 'Sports' by Huey Lewis & The News and wears a cardigan.

One of these articles comes out every 3 to 5 years. No? Lame.

Although, give dude some credit... is that a Donnie Iris record he's got in his pile? Wonder if he bought that sweater at Pants 'N Nat!

I can't wait for the live album of their last show to come out.

??? Whoo-hoo!

Live album? Fuck yeah!

I went into withdrawlf a few years ago when the Snakes split. Andre's solo albums are pretty great though

(And how about Age of Danger's skate rat role in Land of the Dead?).

Who's putting the live album out?

This band is coming close to being in the "can do no wrong" camp for me.

None of the three new jams hit me quite as hard as "Dead Fish" or "Foggy Yesterday" off the bat, but I like how they're growing too.

Great band. I hope they get bigger than Jesus.

Reatard / Prospect Park show on July the 15th????

Anybody catch this on Tuesday? I was curious to see what would happend when Jay opened up for Spoon (of all bands), but couldn't make it. Any boos? Any cheers?  Or was it just a straightforward killer 22 minutes and then gone?
