Yeah, I had a green backpack on the whole time and I'm pretty sure that we had this exact conversation on here before. Ha.

Awesome!
If you see a couple of poorly dressed haggard old folks dragging their feet at the gate in Denver, that's me and Pops...ha!

Man, that flight gets in so late. I think we'll stay at a hotel by the airport that night and rent the car the next morning and head to the Artisan. It's really weird that the cheapest car rental I found is only $120 to rent from Thur to Monday, but if we are to start renting it on Wednesday night, it jumps up to $170.

I think I met you last year. I'll be sure to say hi if I see you two. If you see a skinny Asian guy who looks like he could be 14, that's me.

My friend's flight is at a different time but we arrive in Memphis at almost the same time. Last year, I just took a cab to the Artisan and we walked everywhere.

I think we're planning to go to that Reatards/Cheap Time/whatever show that's going on that night so our arrival in Memphis might be a shitshow.

This is my itinerary to Memphis. I used my miles, so it was free, but jeez...

Depart: SAN FRANCISCO 11:00 AM
Arrive: PHOENIX 12:54 PM

Depart: PHOENIX 1:24 PM
Arrive: DENVER 4:08 PM

Depart: DENVER 7:10 PM
Arrive: MEMPHIS 10:28 PM

Holy shit, I'm on your Denver -> Memphis flight!

I used my miles as well (although I only have to transfer once). If our flight is especially for poors like me (and maybe you, but don't want to speak for you) and we get even less service than the average United flight, I will stab someone with those plastic knives.

I'm flying on 9/23. Where are you coming from?
I think that DEN-MEM flight will be on a tiny commuter plane. Service will be nonexistent...

I'm flying on that date as well. Coming from Calgary, so Calgary -> Denver -> Memphis.

My plane lands in Memphis at 10:28. What are the chances I could make it in time for Cheap Time's set?

Let's turn this into an In The Loop thread.

Peter Capaldi is so good. I would quote it but I don't know if I would spoil it and besides, I wouldn't even know where to start.

I saw it last night as well and I really enjoyed it.  No cringeworthy scenes... oh except... was that Nick Cave playing when she was setting up the final movie reel?  That song was awful.  Other than that, it was worth my movie-going dollars.

Umm, that was Bowie.

Went to see it last night, it was pretty damn entertaining. Anybody else see it yet? What did ya' think?

Totally fun! Seeing this, In The Loop, Bruno and even District 9 and the last Woody Allen in the past week has really refreshed my enthusiasm for current mainstream cinema, although nothing comes close to The Room-- easily the best film I've seen in the past 38 years.

Yeah, I downloaded In The Loop and I've watched it at least four times. Still hasn't gotten old.

Inglourious Basterds was pretty great too. Tarantino is the master of toying with audience expectations.

Should I phone to follow-up for the aforementioned job interview? If so, when is it appropriate?

Should I drink this bottle of Purell in front of me?

I've been applying for all kinds of jobs non-stop this entire summer and yesterday was the first job interview I've had the whole time. It was with HMV. It was one of the easiest and most pain-free interviews I've ever had. If I don't get the job, I might have a mental breakdown. It feels so close.
