Always hated "CC Rider" until I heard the Animals version.

Killer singer, but Burdon kept running with the "Animals" name & continued to record versions of the songs with whatever sound was popular at the time even until pretty recently ... some horrific stuff.

Only time I saw the Dollrods was the Cramps/Guitar Wolf/Dollrods show ages ago ... sold-out show & I didn't get tickets, but Danny put me on his 'list' for helping him load gear & taking him out for a vegan dinner. Awesome guy & I wanted to like them, but they were kinda meh.

Only saw the Chrome Cranks once at the 3B in Bellingham ... kind of a forgettable set.

Devil Dogs = flat out one of the best rock'n'roll bands ever ...

AMC re-ran all of the seasons (2 episodes every Wed nite) & timed it just right so that season 3 should end right as the new season picks up ... hope my PVR doesn't max out!

I have extended family in Monterotondo (outskirts of Rome), but I'd rather not make it a big 'visit' trip, which is what will happen if I rely on them for advice ... last time I was there, they took me to the 'American Bar' ... not exactly what I was looking for.

Been a while since this was updated, but I'm planning to be in Rome for mid-Sept ... I haven't been in 16 years & can't remember much about neighborhoods, etc ...

Narrowing our plans down to staying in the Trevi, Pantheon or Colosseo areas, but open to suggestions ... as well as any cool places to eat, check out, etc.

Any help is much appreciated (gotta book soon!)
