Non-Music Shit / Re: suboxone
« on: May 25, 2008, 08:30:11 AM »
Ok, let's make it clear (as far as I can be in english)...
Suboxone is made from two molecules: Buprenorphine (wich is an opioid antagonist) and Naxolone (active ONLY if you shoot it. So don't do it !!! It will give you a direct withdrawal).

Erickelric may be right: Taking some buprenorphine for the first times could get you kinda high... but, it could be a bad experience too (as with his friend): It may vary from one person to another.

Anyway, it's a shitty way to get stoned... and I doubt it will releave your pain.
Let's face it, heroin is a much better (and nicer) painkiller.

? for those who know....will this help my pain

Absolutely NOT !!!!!!
It will just prevent you to suffer opiates withdrawal

where did you find that?
i always have the hardest time tracking down celine.

It has been continuously reprint and it's pretty easy to find (at least in France).

"Guignol's Band" isn't as great as "Journey..." or "Death on the Installment Plan", but if you're a Celine fan it's an enjoyable read.

Yes.
Those two ("Voyage au bout de la Nuit" and "Mort ? Credit") are his best...

time-wasters.

listen to warm gun, strychnine and starshooter if you want good french second-stringers.

Right.

But... if you really need a single of Telephone, try this one (it's really common in France, and costs nothing).

It's was a promo for Coca-Cola : And despite its awful sleeve, it's a good split single featuring the best track from their first album ("Hygiaphone") and "Betsy Party" by STARSHOOTER on the other side.

wound up listening to

Paul Vanase - Baby Bones LP
undeniably queer cabaret + glam + punk/wave. i have a real weakness for this stuff....

Patty Pravo - Concerto per Patty LP
i know that there are a bunch of eyetyes rolling their eyes right now. "watta i tella you. thata soriano is stupido, eh!" but i like me some italian 60s pop, especially when it has that trapped between soundtrack & rock music sound. half the album is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m85icJtA-U  the other half is a mix of covers (beegees, beatles) and pop tunes. no rockers but some get a bit psych in a lite queasy way. maybe it's italian yeye.

here's some other shit

thanks for looking this up! i could use more scrotum pole music in my life. glad the import cd isn't $20 'cos of the lousy exchange rate.

How's the rest of the Scrotum Poles stuff compare to 'Pick the Cat's Eyes Out'?  Love that song, but I don't think I've heard anything else.

"Helicopter Honeymoon!" "Radio Tay!"

That's about all else I know, but they are great songs. Would love a discog.

I like them all, but you can check it here : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=UB87tfSfKiI and http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=2fthdfgXJvI you can listen to the whole single on vintage Scrotum Poles films.

This is a CD reissue of the original (and sole) EP.
What I was speaking about was this :
"2005 - Right Back Records - to come CDs of "Auchmithie Calling", "A Shot in the Dark Go Pop" and "Live at the Coffinmill"."

Scrotum Poles, Pick The Cat's Eyes Out (yeah, I know the song is about highway reflectors, but for some reason this song always makes me feel so sad.  like i need to flee the city and go all brewer & shipley or possibly yahowa 13.  grow a beard, wear a robe, GET MY TRIP TOGETHER!  anyone else experience similar effects?)

Nope!
But I really dig the band. A retrospective album was planned to be released more than a year ago: Any news someone?
Just in case...:  "F**k me, it's the Scrotum Poles" : http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=UB87tfSfKiI and http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=2fthdfgXJvI
