I got one without sleeve, I guess I'll buy this reissue too...
An essential punk single !

Su Tissue, Salon du Musique.  Minimal/ambient looper from a Suburban Lawn.  Hadn't heard it until last month.  I see that it's been mentioned on the board a few times in past several years; wish I'd heard it sooner.

I never been able to get a copy.
A reissue would be a nice idea...

This song is undoubtedly the song of the century:
https://soundcloud.com/lumpyrex/dangus-tarkus-binky-boy

Just sounds like another in an already long line of Coneheads.

There's another one, a bit different: https://soundcloud.com/lumpyrex/the-wad-atomic

To me it sounds like a mix between Devo and Geza X... with a Coneheads feeling... whom sounds like a speeded up basic Devo.
It would certainly have been great in 1979, but now, it's another just cool band. And that's not so bad. It might be nice to see them live in a bar with some cold beer in hand. I'm less sure I'd buy the record.

- V/A "Household Shocks" (LP. 2016 / rec. 197?-80) [UK] : Good compilation of the local post punk scene, as there was so many back then. Pretty rare as an original, but not so extraordinary.
- TOLERANCE "Anonym" (LP. 2015 / rec. 1979) [JAP] : Excellent quiet minimal post punk duet. Shitty quality boot, but the original costs an eye.
- The STYRENES "CLE 76-79 unreleased" (3x7"EP box. 2015 / rec. 1976-79) [US] : Great sound, great band. I don't really get why they issue that as singles instead of a LP, but if you don't mind getting up and change of records or sides every 6 minutes or so it's a nice box with a very interesting booklet.

- CAROLINER "Our American Heritage - Volume 1" (LP. 1996) [US] : American weirdos. Not their best album.
- V/A "A musical Anthology of the Orient - Japan V" (LP. ? / rec. 1953-57) [JAP] : Japanese classical music.
- MELTED MEN "Abdominal Snowman EP" (7"EP. 2002) [US] : Other American weirdos. Good (an cheap) 8 tracks EP

- Ustad Ghulam Hussein KHAN ?"Musique classique indienne" (LP. 1968) [IND] : Indian classical music
- RIGA RAGA "Musica nòstra (Musica occitana del Poble)" (LP. 1979 / rec. 197?) [FR] : Some very surprising things here (especially the B-side) melting self-conception of traditional French regional music and free folk freekout
- Juan HIDALGO "Tamaran" (LP. 2002 / rec. 1974) [SPA] : Pretty intense contemporary electronic music
- The NEW JERSEY PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE "Percussion Music" (LP. 1974) [US] : All contemporary percussion pieces in different styles.
- Jean DUPUY "Anagrammes" (LP. 2016 / rec. 2015) [FR] : Original Fluxus' member outsider, from the French Riviera, reading and commenting his work. No music.

Always liked the first track (Untitled 1 - 'Sweet Butterfingers') on this live radio recording from 1974: https://archive.org/details/SonnyAndLindaSharrock

I've never heard this. Thanks for the post.

I saw that post too late; but for the future, here's a pretty decent tumblr listing some of the concerts in Paris (the dates in bold are the most recent updates) : http://uneminuteparseconde.tumblr.com/

... Seems Leroy was somewhat overlooked (by dabblers) relative to the also great Billy Bang but he's tremendous in all modes, Revolutionary Ensemble sides are faves not the only ones; duet with Rashied Ali "Swift Are The Winds of Life" fantastically underknown, all John and Alice C. (who deserves her current revival) fans should hear it--

killer Leroy + Abdul Wadud, from "Straight Ahead," 1979, never reissued--

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG-Az8OFBm8

I've never heard any of those two... both excerpts are excellent.
Thanks for the references.

Recently, I've heard this: https://youtu.be/p3wtjhtoj1M.
Of course, it has never been reissued. A fantastic album.

Haven't been near the stereo in a few days, but this has been on the mp3 player:

You can try those, his first : https://youtu.be/aPsVZPyTVns

and the second : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTmr9HTmHPM

Those days, I've listened to a whole bunch of traditional music found in charity shops. The Java one is particulary interesting as it's not about gamelan but about a less known style with chant and strings I haven't heard about until now.
Beside that, there's the original stock copie of the Collective Horizontal EP that David is selling here for a nice price, a recent reissue (as a double LP) of those trippin' New Guinea's flutes, the last volume documenting the Sand anthology and that bootleg compilation of DIY girls band that have been discussed here in another topic.
I ain't got no time to do a list or to add some youtube links those days... but do you really care?

I've just ordered the one that was on Discogs before seeing your message here.
PM me if you want to avoid the Discogs fee.

Thanks guys.

Since we're chatting Krapo, I'm a fan but definitely on team pics + (format. year release / year record) [country] rather than the pic-only posts

I don't have too many time (nor enough place) to do this these times as I'm moving between two houses... maybe this summer.
But if you click on the pics you'll be directed to sound... from there you'll find the reference easily.

I'm pretty sure I did, with "A.R.C." or CIRCLE, but that's his free jazz field... I can't enjoy fusion.
