my friend in homeroom, mike, made me a mixtape and "revenge" and "depression" were on there. i think the next day or two days after, i punched out some kid in my gym class that was giving me shit. i listened to revenge on my walkman thirty seconds before to get myself pumped up to do it.

man fuck this city. i've spent countless conventions there.

missing link records is, or was, cool. i hit it up during gencon and the place was wiped out. they had some cool indy related cds and boots of shit, like gizmos demo cds and stuff, but the bonkers stuff i pulled from there a couple years ago is long gone.

food in downtown sucks. there's a decent indian place within 5 blocks of the convention center.

i spent a few nights at the Red Garter, which is this plush strip club that is far too big for the crowds it pulls. totally amazing/depressing place. afterwards, hit the white castle and hate yourself for the next 12 hours.

while driving around the city, and outside of it, i found a place that rented guns. think about that for a few minutes.

Yeah, I actually saw the SLC show on that tour.
