Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / BROOKLYN: COCKFIGHT at the Commodore Friday June 11

Hey goons.

We are finished at Daddy's. We moved our world-class, awe-inspiring DJ night COCKFIGHT over to the Commodore (366 Metropolitan, the old Black Betty space). This place has:

* a dance floor
* side room and backyard to chill out
* Championship Sprint and Crazy Climber video games set to free
* a wide selection of cocktails made with fresh juices
* an excellent dinner menu (kitchen run by Stephen Tanner, of Harvey Milk, formerly of Pies-n-Thighs and Egg) -- best fried chicken in Williamsburg, clearly the magic goes wherever this guy winds up
* no hygiene issues (doesn't stink like piss all the fucking time)
* '80s TV showing old movies
* good sound and working turntables

The Spits/Nobunny show at the Knitting Factory is across the street. Have your nightcap or afterparty here. No haters welcome.

more shit was just posted, none of it written by me. you may get tired of ryan martin's style but who else is going to review all those experimental records and tapes? also one of the best earles writeups in a while about "man-wafer" dustin wong of ponytail.

I am really bummed out over the band name "the last rapes of mr. teach."

in other news, so so so glad to not live in greenpoint anymore.

I'll be back to working 60 hour weeks again soon so expect to hear more from the contributors and less from me. also three big boxes of review records have ended up in the hands of people who are more or less deadbeats. nice guys, but still.
