Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: BROOKLYN STOOPID STOOP SALE SAT 8/1 - 100s of RECORDS, DVDs, BOOKS, SHIRTS, ETC
« on: July 31, 2009, 08:15:30 AM »
more details:
Saturday August 1, at 198 Russell St. (corner of Norman) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. 12 noon to 6pm. G train to Nassau, B48 bus to Humboldt/Nassau. A sunny day is promised, and we couldn't be more excited.
Here's what's on tap:
RECORDS: dumping the most significant chunk of my collection to date ... hundreds, maybe a thousand quality LPs, 7"s and 12"s. Rock, punk, metal, dance music, hip hop, jazz, blues, and a whole lot more, tiered into $1-3 records, $5-10 records and the "Baller Bin" (which is still cheaper than eBay).
DVDs: two stacks, waist high. Dozens of horror, cult, comedy, foreign, Criterion, a handful of Region 2/PAL discs. Most priced at $5 a pop. VHS too (those Danzig boots you were eyeing up can be yours...)
BOOKS: loads of titles available on film, music, art, photo books, comics, zines, crafts, fiction, self-help and other essential/rare print media.
CLOTHES: everything from things you could wear to work, to coats and sweaters, to band T-shirts and blown-out fancy denim. Men's and women's. A bunch of Ben Sherman stuff is in the mix, as is my old vintage ratted out Tony Alva "Speed Skins" T-shirt, about a wash or two away from the grave. A few dozen pairs of women's shoes are up for grabs as well.
ARTS & CRAFTS: You like yarn? We got bags and bags of it in all manner of color and content, as well as a screenprinting kit (unopened!), notions, etc., priced to move.
HOUSEWARES: from glassware to drying racks to fondue kits, if we have two, we'll sell you one!
MISCELLANY: Posters (punk/indie/screenprinted), a very nice pool cue with case, and whatever else we can dig up.
You're looking at a combined total of about 30 years worth of collecting, ready to move out the door and into your home or office.
We hope to see you there, money in hand. Cash only. No bartering. NO EARLYBIRDS.
take care,
Doug & Kristen
