New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: TTT Mailorder Things
« on: March 23, 2009, 09:12:31 PM »
just got my TTT order today.  record labels should pay you to show them how to pack records. the records came in a oversized homeade(?) box. I am truly impressed w/ your packing skills...no I'm NOT being sarcastic,  I'm just a record nerd who hates bent corners.
Thanks TTT, it was worth the wait.

the post office made quite an effort to bend the corners, cos floridas dying did a great packing job.  the lp was packed between two pieces of carboard.

Music Shit / Re: NOBUNNY LP/BUBBLEDUMB
« on: February 24, 2009, 08:43:47 AM »
I know people who are still waiting.  Unlike HCH, this guy has no track record, so I guess I'd consider yourself ripped off (albeit almost certainly due to incompetence more than deliberate evil-doing).  Everyone makes the occasional dumb mistake, gets behind etc (I have to mail a parcel I've owed for several months on Friday, so not leaving myself out of this), but screwing up on that scale is not OK. Some people just need to accept that they can't run a label.

I never got the copy I ordered directly from Nobunny,  after going back & forth for 3-4 months I gave up.  I still don't own a copy.

from sundazed,

The Remains have always been regarded as the Mount Everest of garage-rock bands, their steaming, fuzzed-up songs copied in every last swaggering detail by legions of cool teenage combos across the nation. Now beefed-up to a stunning, double-LP, gatefold-sleeve package, loaded with terrific unseen photos and band memorabilia and packed with tight, high-energy performances of songs bursting with memorable riffs ?n? hooks, all rendered in super-crisp production, this ?66 masterpiece is essential to anyone who likes their rock ?n? roll undiluted and ceaselessly exciting. It?s the first-time-ever reissue of the Remains classic material in MONO with a stunning second LP of single-only sides, plus all the legendary Robin McBride-produced material not included on the original issue. Our lavish, high-definition, double-vinyl, MONO edition of everything you need by the Remains, has been meticulously assembled by Bob Irwin and Remains leader Barry Tashian and features 12 ripping Remains bonus tracks?including one fuzz-raving instrumental from 1966 that no one?s ever heard before!?with essential new liner notes by Remains expert Jeff Jarema.
