funny photo. two things i think would be great but would just be small tweaks are allowing for embedding of youtube links. I think it is some code you add to the board to allow it. i forget.

the other is adding robots.txt for the forum so it isn't searchable. You can still allow for the main part of the site to be searchable by doing something like (not sure of the exact code).
Allow: /www/terminal-boredom.html
Disallow: /terminal-boredom.com/forums/

It would keep the cops and Huey Lewis's manager off the site.

Damn, I not sure how Organized Konfusion's "Releasing Hypnotical Gases" can sound "dated" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySmdcta_uSg
Shit, still sounds futuristic to me.

Off the top of the my dome, my head, my skull, my cranium, two of the best produced albums in my opinion with good rapping of the past few years were Cunninglynguists (ridiculous name kept me away from them) - "A Piece of Strange" and Blue Sky Black Death & Hell Razah - "Razah's Ladder."

Other stuff in the past 1-2 years i've enjoyed was Blu & Exile - "Below the Heavens," Joell Ortiz - "Bodega Chronicles" and recently, Rek - "Grey Hairs."  & my favorite rap album of 08 was Akrobatik- "Absolute Value."

that should be "Sick to Death" by a bean. as in, wins by a bean.

I guess people who didn't like the first might like this if you wanted all the fun sucked out of the album, for it to be less catchy, for it to sound at times very indie rock (1st track on the new one comes to mind), and to have had more random doodling.

That said, it is quite a different album, but personally i don't prefer it.

i don't know, if the first album was a Taco Bell chili cheese burrito, then this is more like a Taco Bell chili cheese burrito made by an employee for himself before he checks out of work and heads on home. In theory it has great potential, and there is a lot of room to perfect on what you already have to offer, but you usually just overdo it and it ends up overpacked and leaking out the sides, much like your bowels by the time you get home. "Sick to Death" by some beans.

Hunchback is definitely not the album to "get into" Kurt Vile, imo. It is just 6 songs 2/3s of which are instrumentals. Floridas Dying has them though, or they did when i was looking yesterday.

As for the Bruce comparisons, first time i heard Kurt Vile was the first track on "Constant Hitmaker" and the first thing i thought was "people are raving over a guy that sounds like Marah?" Rest of the album has a much different feel, thankfully. Reminds me of MV&EE out of Vermont.

Could be that Germany replaced France with bots when they invaded in WWII and TB is the place where Hitler's jar brain felt comfortable enough to begin to slowly unleash them. After all, he hated communists too.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Vanity License Plates

Oh, also, from what I understand in RI, the plates that are low numbers, like 110 are worth fortunes. Well, I don't know the going rate on them now,
ah,

"Low plates are so valuable, people will them to favored family members. It's considered somewhat of a state-wide shame when one of those plates is auctioned for cash and the take divided among survivors, who no doubt grieve that Uncle Jim didn't leave two "low numbahs." Those who have the good social fortune to drive a car bearing a plate with both their initials and a low number are either very wealthy and/or involved in organized crime. "

I saw it and assumed it meant he was in the Dept of Motor Vehicles for eight hours, and ended up getting this license plate. He should have thanked them for an instant souvenir.

Supernaut - S/T. "I like it Both Ways" is a monster. Also, if you have never watched the video of it on YT, it is great. Didn't ever think there was something better on the album, but the rest has definitely grown on me, over a number of listens, exponentially.

Naked on the Vague - Much better than I remembered, glad I dug it out. More like Fabulous Diamonds, less like Grey Daturas. Although, no slight on the latter, as I love that band.

Was going to listen to all 3 Out With a Bang 7"s. Only made it through the first two and then put on The Doors - "Roadhouse Blues" to bring a little levity to the situation. Either way, I find "Few Beers Left" to be one of my favorite songs of the past number of years.

BFTG 3.

You want me to believe that this isn't the guy who wrote

the al sirat hides behind a wardrobe of eunuchs
seconds collide till the padisha scandal
the cauldrons have eyes by way of racket and vice
a brothel's bedpan filled with demimonde lice

These reviews read like a rewrite of that song.

This guy is the singer from Mars Volta.

I can tell from the writing style.

Something was fishy, too many words.
