Have the Zero Boys ever been on the cover of MRR before?

No one here is so much of a douche that they are spending $30 or whatever for a Cold Cave tee-shirt. Stop lying.

Music Shit / Re: Worlds largest music collection

There was a 4 minute short about this guy before a doc I saw last night. I think the deal is he is blind, or blinding, and has diabetus and wants to pass his collection to history, but for the fair price that he judges it at, which was $50 million. That is how the film closed.

"Whatever his name is values his collection at $50 million.
He offered to sell it for $3 million.
To date, he has had no serious offers."

What else did they pack in there, oh yeah, he said he owns ever piece of music between the years 1948 and 1964 or something like that, and that only 17% of it is available on cd. That stat was interesting. I don't think he came up with that on his own, but someone else guestimated it. Also, he said his most valuable record in the collection was an "unreleased" Rolling Stones album that was worth $6-10K.

Besides being a one sided 4 minute propaganda piece for this guy, the film looked good visually. It is called "The Archive."

was "Photograph Burns" ever released on vinyl? Wasn't it on an offshoot of American or something? Some really great songs on their, not the least of which is the first track "American Face." The Mutant Sounds blog has some of his early stuff from tapes.

damn, there was a 2007 New Yorker story about Adam "Dave" Gadahan that says

He formed a one-man band called Aphasia; his first recording was an hour long. ?The music can be described as an experimental symphonic ambient electronic industrial noise collage, depending upon the listener?s point of view,? Gadahn wrote to a friend. To make it, he used a Casio synthesizer, two-track tape recorders, a cymbal, and his voice. Gadahn advertised Aphasia to his pen pals as ?melodic yet musically-removed,? and he found humor in its rawness. He designed an Aphasia logo, and referred to himself as ?Noise dork Aphasia.? In the next two years, he released at least five Aphasia recordings, including ?Non-Relativistic Quantum Mechanics? and ?Delirium: 7 Hallucinatory Interludes, Op. 2.?

"400 Blows" is well known as having one of the most "existential" endings.

Long Legged Woman - Nobody Knows this is Nowhere

New Mos Def is interesting. I haven't been able to figure out if he is trying to get out of his contract. A lot of good production, some middle eastern music, a short odd rap about being a soldier in Iraq by Slick Rick, some singing. First song has a sample that i can't place but the beat is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPZC5esCJN8
Is it Erkin Koray?

Like the Long Legged Woman.

The YT comments pointed out the song is Selda Bagcan - Ince Ince

This may or may not affect your vote, but Judas Priest recorded a cover of "Johnny B. Goode" for the movie (not shown in clip).

it is a shitty review, and it is as stupid for people to jump all over her because they spend more time on the web or are more invested in knowing everything about whatever band as it is for "co-workers" to circle around her like they were protecting one of their fraternity brothers from a sexual harassment suit. christ.

cutoff jeans are all the rage. however, when i think "jorts" i am thinking something that gets more tapered as it comes to knee. It is one of those fashion items that has remained, for now, retro-irony proof.
