Rick, look into Rod Laver's they are a canvas version of the Stan Smith shoes, more or less, saw them in a store a few weeks ago.

I am less aware of what is going on right now, but you better believe that in 1991 I was wearing both jorts and silk shirts.

I guess you picked up those Snowy Red LPs in Canada? Pre-releasing himself from Terminal Boredom I believe that Mike Sniper said that Snowy Red refuses to let the albums be repressed?

On edit: I just did a search and i must have made that up as I don't see anything about him saying that. Regardless, seems like they could use a repress.

There was a Rap-A-Lot group in the early 90s called The Terrorists. Decent. They had a memorable song where they talked about killing Guns N Roses, ripping out their hearts, etcs.

Had?

I had the singles, never listened too close and they never had much impact either way.  The I read the new Z-Gun LP review citing "Honda" and "Sidewalk" as examples of their brilliance, threw them on and found them totally forgettable, sophomoric and irritating. Whoops!

So you have never liked them but continued to buy their singles and not listen to them, why? because other people were talking about them? cause you were suppose to like them? That's cool. I guess this is why things are selling out via pre-pal or whatever the fuck.

All I've ever had were the 2x7 and the SS split. The split was a waste of my money. The 2x7 is super catchy. And for posterity, didn't like the LP first few times. Now, like it very much. Hate the cover art. OCs have released too much material for me to comprehend where to start.

Bowie/Jagger - Dancing in the Streets
a-ha - Take on Me

7"s from a department store that I remember as having a huge singles section. I think they were the only two songs I knew at the time.

The World Wildlife Fund was the plaintiff in that case and they won forcing World Wrestling Federation to change its name. The ruling came a couple of years after the XFL folded.

Is this how you measure time?

I don't know, didn't it seem like there were sentences missing from the middle part of the Jeffrey Novak review? Seemed oddly put together.

Sadly, the Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito show has been off the air for some time now.

Nothing People - Late Night

Listened to these back to back to back to back. They go well together.

you're wrong.  their first set was usually uptempo rockers and weir's cowboy whatnot, then 2nd set they'd start the jamming.  take a look at any 70's set.  they jammed lots of tunes into the 15-20 range.

i am more than willing to concede being wrong but i think the amount of songs they had that they played which went 15 minutes or more are not very large, Dark Star, Playing in the Band, Birdsong, Blues for Allah, The Other One, a number of others. I think that if one were to look at set lists over the course of their career there would be far far fewer songs over 15 minutes than one might think. Though, I guess I am not counting when they go into 3 other songs and then come back to the original, which yeah, i guess that would bump up the total number then.

They had a certain knack for turning awful 5 minute songs into truly awful 15 minute songs.

There is almost no truth to this statement. Sure, they have a few long as songs, Dark Star comes to mind, but in the early 70s, for example, many many shows are 4-5 minute songs. Them being a long, drawn out jam band is not true. Late 70s maybe, you'll get a 13 minute Sugeree, 12 minute Wharf Rats, 10 minute Estimate Prophet, but they are a different monster by that time.

Totally down with this shit now.  Especially since I drive a lot while workin, and need something to relax with on the stereo.

Mostly dig the late 70s shit.  Dicks Picks 18 is sick.

Trouble. Are you weaving weird and elaborate theories about God and the universe from strands of Grateful Dead lyrics?
