Non-Music Shit / 1-2-3-4 GO! is opening a new location in SF on 4/1
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:32:21 AM »
We are opening a second location in San Francisco on April 1st! No foolin'! More details next week but for now we're trying to raise a little money ahead of then by selling some Oakland and SF logo shirts, hoodies, slipmats and tote bags available at the link below. All prices include shipping and will ship at the end of the month. Don't need something with our logo on it? We also need your help bringing in stock. We are looking to buy Vinyl and tapes. Collections or a handful of stuff doesn't matter to us. Bring us all that stuff you haven't had luck with at swaps, stuff that's gathering dust in your house or things you're sick of looking at and get cash or trade! We buy every day 11am to 8pm in our Oakland shop. Thanks everyone!

In further news from the strange old world...my label is doing the North American run of the new Buzzcocks LP! Here's a paragraph about it, a link to buy it and a song to listen to.

We are incredibly honored to announce that we will be releasing the new Buzzcocks album "The Way" here in North America. The Way is the follow up to 2006's Flat - Pack Philosophy LP and is the band's ninth studio album since their formation in Manchester in 1976. These 10 tracks penned by the groups long standing core of Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle were recorded this year in London, and were produced by the band and Dave M Allen (best known for his production work with The Cure, Depeche Mode and Neneh Cherry). The album packs the same classic UK pop punk punch they've been known them for over nearly four decades. The album will be available digitally on October 10th 2014 with physical releases to follow on November 18th 2014. Pre-order the physical releases now in our webstore

Twin Steps have been impressing us pretty consistently since we became aware of them last year. They have a truly impressive live show and an uncanny ability to infuse elements of classic soul, pop, and experimental rock 'n' roll. The outcome is a surreal blend of surfy guitar licks, syrupy '60's pop melodies with intricate drum beats, and yelping harmonies. Modernity from tradition, unbridled joy on a plane of tonal madness.

We've got a brand new 7" single titled "Plague Songs" come from then August 13th as well as a very limited cassette release which features the two songs from the 7" paired with their 10" EP "Serial Parade" and a special unreleased bonus track to boot!

Both are available for pre-order now in our webstore by clicking this handy if a bit long link http://catalog.1234gorecords.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=twin+steps
You can also stream both tracks from the single and do a digital pre-order over on BandCamp by going to this link http://1234gorecords.bandcamp.com/album/twin-steps-plague-songs .

Hey everyone,

We're releasing TWO Zero Boys 7"s in June. The first is a reissue of "Livin' In The 80's". If for some reason you haven't heard it you can stream this one over at http://1234gorecords.bandcamp.com/album/zero-boys-livin-in-the-80s or order it directly from us at http://www.1234gorecords.com/catalog . We did 100 copies on YELLOW vinyl for mail order only. The rest are on Black. Order now before they're gone!

The second single contains the first newly recorded Zero Boys material in 20 years! Four brand new songs that pair pretty well with the "Livin' In The 80's" reissue in terms of speed and tone. You can stream, download and pre-order the vinyl here http://1234gorecords.bandcamp.com/album/zero-boys-pro-dirt or here http://www.1234gorecords.com/catalog . We did 100 on Yellow for this as well and 400 copies on Black.

WHAT 1-2-3-4 GO! SAYS:

Gunk rock. Mangled Monks worship. Glue addled bug smokers. Members of Unnatural Helpers and Uzi Rash. Strange times. Fever dreams. Cretin Hop. Poor business decision.

FROM THE DESK OF THE TRASHIES:

The Trashies "proudly" present TEENAGE RATTLESNAKES with 1234GO! Records

Smell that? Thats what it looks like. Hear tHat? thats what it smells like. Yes, thats fine, right there. Worm rhythms, rat trap claps, the unsheathing of a midnight knife fone Kall at 2am. Time, as we didn't know, cant, and actually, refuse to know it (ore anything), bends. Wolf-a-mania raps at the window trying to get in, it needs A BITE. knot rapping like a knock, but like a yearning in verse form for fungus and bug bowls. we have ALL been tar: the smoke signal pricks up your ears, pickles whats left of the rodent center of your brain and TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO: go out to the dumpster behind the SUPER DUPER market. look underneATH. the puddles lap greasy waves on an asphalt parking lot beach. thats where dreams are shattered and you awake talking to not much but some rat pals on the run. And that seems to be a proper reckoning of tHE TRASHIES material: two rocks(man made, anti rock) smashed together till they break or BOREDUMM occurs. same deal. Rat spew jerky barely recognized after the fact. Sure, they say, Lets MAKE IT a "song!". but they don't rightly remember: RIKKI TIKKI ROUTER TABLE on lead drill, KapTAIN RON WOLLPHMANN may know a person who has a guitar, J. C. TRASHINGTON tickles the black n wits, and BILLYGOAT eats a bass (the fish). they were once trapped in the same room huffing venom and this occurred: TEENAGE RATTLESNAKES. a declaration of ?something. or not. not much at all? anything? UNnlikely. the swamp stain on the underside is all thats left and nothing but a batch of hit songs in bam bam cave man beat. and now? Trash Kore is the past and pain is the future. Gunk Rock is a gift, thats why it calls it the present. which is a worm. which is a raisin. which was a brain?

We imported a pallet of metal LP's (and stuff like Amebix etc) from the UK before RSD to snag a lot of the color vinyl editions they did this year for some classic stuff and in addition we got a lot of catalog stuff as well from Back On Black, Rise Above and a few others. The stuff came in on a pallet so the boxes weren't knocked around. No seam splits. No fucked up corners. Most of it's also around $8 to $10 cheaper than anywhere you'll see it in the US. Some quite a bit cheaper. Hell it's even cheaper than you'll see it mail ordering for direct from over there. We made a new metal section on the website and in the store for this stuff and the other odds and ends we already had around. You can check out the webstore here
