So in an effort to clear out the remaining sleeves we did for Love Visions we're pressing 500 to 700 copies on Red Vinyl. Is it a blatant cash in on your obsession with half nude men in rabbit masks with a stench that could very well choke a maggot? Maybe.  More than anything we just think this fucking thing looks awesome on colored vinyl. Did you see those Orange copies? Shit was hot. If I wasn't so well endowed by my creator I would make a dishonest woman out of as many copies as I could.

Anyway they're available if you want them. No pressure. Your record collection will be just as impressive with or without it so don't feel obligated or nothin'. I expect to have them "in house" by the first or second week of April. They'll start shipping after that. Sadly he won't have these in time for the March/April tour so if you want a copy on Red you're going to have to get it from me. Anyway here's the info

Paypal to store@1234gorecords.com . Please remember to put in the notes what you're ordering

Cost (includes postage)

In the US $14.00 (each additional $10)

Canada $18.00 (each additional $11)

Europe $24.00 (each additional $11)

If you ordered a copy of Love Visions from me before today you're getting a black copy and chances are it's already in the mail so don't ask if I can change/hold your order. I'm easily confused and frightened by change so it's not a good idea.

It's called instant karma. I like how the dad blames the guy who got mugged and says his gang member son involved in an armed robbery was a hard working good kid.

(02-20) 11:29 PST OAKLAND -- A 23-year-old visitor from the East Coast had just gotten money from an ATM when he told his friend on a cell phone that he had a bad feeling about two men approaching him at the Fruitvale BART Station in Oakland.

His worst fears were realized when one suspect, Victor Veliz, 18, held a folding knife with a 5-inch blade to his neck and the other, Christopher Gonzalez, 18, threatened to shoot him Thursday night, authorities said.

In a blind panic, he lashed out at his attackers, grabbing the knife from one of them and punching the other as his friend listened in horror on the phone.

Without realizing it, authorities say, the man stabbed Gonzalez in the chest. Gonzalez stumbled to his family's home around the corner, collapsed into his father's arms and died.

Veliz, who is affiliated with a gang, was arrested at Gonzalez's home after police allegedly found him with the East Coast visitor's cell phone. He will be charged with murder in the death of his accomplice, along with a robbery count, prosecutors said.

The robbery victim suffered only cuts in fighting off his assailants. He ran from the station, flagged down an Oakland police officer on Fruitvale Avenue and turned over the bloody knife. His name was not released.

The man was "scared senseless" when he was attacked about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, said Allison Danzig, an Alameda County deputy district attorney. He acted in self-defense and will not be charged, she said.

When police told him that Gonzalez had died, "he was very saddened and very upset," Danzig said.

Gonzalez's father, Javier Gonzalez, said Friday that his son had cried out for his parents and sister when he burst into his home on San Leandro Street. He died there.

Javier Gonzalez sobbed at the loss of his son, who worked with him in his roofing business and at Oakland Raiders games.

"I'm angry at both of them," he said of the robbery victim and Veliz. "They took my son away from me. He was a hard-working kid."

He added, "My son is dead. I want somebody to pay for this."

The incident wasn't the only violence near a BART station Thursday night. In Daly City, police said, a triple shooting outside the BART station that left one man dead and two others wounded may have resulted from a mistaken belief that the victims were gang members.

Two of the four men who were in a 1995 Buick Regal when the car was sprayed with bullets were wearing red baseball caps, and the color red is associated with a Latino gang, said Daly City police Lt. Jay Morena.

But the victims were not gang members, Morena said.

The dead man, a 21-year-old from San Francisco, has not been identified, and no arrests have been made.

Dear, ladies, dudes and douches,

Please do be reading our fairly important update for this month!

1-2-3-4 Go! Records is moving!!!

As of March 1st the 1-2-3-4 Go! Records retail store will be two doors down from it's current location. Same building and everything, just 15 feet away. Our new address is 423 40th Street, Oakland, CA 94609 if you want to stop by for a visit or send us mash notes. The new space is a little over twice the size of the current store so we'll be able to carry even more records and other whatsits. We're also going to start having monthly art shows. Our first will be with Oakland artist and leader of the Clams, Shannon Shaw. You can see some examples of her artwork at her website http://www.shannonshaw.net ...which she needs to update by the way! Anyway we'll be open in the old location all through February so don't hesitate to stop by.

1-2-3-4 Go! Records needs your help!!!

So as you now know, we're moving in to a new space. The rent is slightly higher and we need to raise money to help cover all the expenses related to the move and stock orders. This is where you come in. If you're a bay area native, come down to the store this month if you can and get some new music to get you through the last days of winter. It would also help if you could slyly work us in to your daily conversations to spread the word of mouth about the place. IYou'd be surprised how easily you can work us in to your Black Masses, Youth Groups and Co-op and various Anonymous meetings. If you live elsewhere and could peruse our catalog and make an order this month we'd be ever so grateful! We're also going to start doing some ebay auctions this Sunday including rare editions and test pressings of releases from 1-2-3-4 Go! Records. Many of which are the final personal copies we have left. Auctions will go up at 6pm PST this sunday. You can check them out at http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/the1234gorecordsstore

1-2-3-4 Go! Records is going to drink way too much!!!

March 15th at The Stork Club in Oakland we'll be having our year anniversary/grand re-opening party/show. Bands lined up so far are Nobunny, The Pets and Shannon and the Clams. We're hoping to pull of at least one or two more "special guests". We'll keep you updated and out too late for a Sunday night.

On with the massive update!!!

Here's the update this time out. If you'd like to order anything email us at 1234stevo@gmail.com and let us know what your address is and what you'd like to order. We'll get back to you within 24 hours with a total. Thanks everyone!

If you want anything email us at store@1234gorecords.com with a list of what you need and your address and we'll get back to you with a total.

Oh and we've changed our webstore. We're moving over to a strictly text based system that functions a lot like these updates. You cut and paste what you need in to an email with your address, we pull your stuff and send you an email with your total. Pretty simple and it cuts way down on out of stocks. We're keeping this new system updated almost constantly so what you see on the site is what's in the store at that very moment for the most part. You can check it out by going to http://www.1234gorecords.com and clicking on "The Store".

Anyway...this is what's new.

Music Shit / You know who sounds an awful lot like Screeching Weasel?
« on: January 13, 2009, 10:26:13 AM »
Nobunny apparently...

From CMJ...what the fuck? He apparently also sounds a little like NOFX I guess.

NOBUNNY: Love Visions
Jan 13, 2009
By Eric Davidson

He may be no bunny, but he?s a much better Screeching Weasel. In the goofy tradition of west coast pop-punk bands who boast loads of love for the Ramones, then go off and sound like a somehow lamer NOFX, Nobunny adds a little eccentricity and tin-toy fumble to that pop-punk equation. He wears the standard Bowery bruddas gear, but keeps the mug under a bunny mask. A good idea since he?s probably an ex-member of Mr. T Experience or some other gawdawful skate crew, and it?s taken him up to his third decade to figure out that boss bubblegum-punk should be skuzzy scruffy (?Tina Goes to Work,? ?Boneyard?) and no Marshall-amp-frills (?Chuck Berry Holiday,? ?Church Mouse?). Nobunny does get helping hands (paws?) from various back-up singers, piano players drummers and other lepuses. Good thing, as the one-man stuff is a wee weak since Nobunny isn?t batty enough for Hasil Adkins-level space cadet candidacy. But Love Visions does qualify as a requisite lark of furry fun in an increasingly cold, overly self-important indie rock landscape.

Music Shit / Let's discuss mongo music made by convicted killers
« on: January 06, 2009, 03:35:22 PM »
Fang's "Landshark". I can't explain why I like this. It's so fucking retarded but so good at the same time.

Money Will Roll Right In, Landshark and even Skinheads Smoke Dope are down right disgusting in how good they are.

Non-Music Shit / Dem bones dem bones is Caylee Anthony
« on: December 19, 2008, 11:11:00 AM »
No soft tissue at all apparently. There was no trauma to the bones that suggest the way she died and because there's no soft tissue they might never know.

Non-Music Shit / You ever gone to take a piss in the woods and...
