Music Shit / Re: Problematic reissues that have been awaited for aeons..

Dirty Lovers I think has been in the works for a long time.

Pack 45 seemed like it was a done deal with Ugly Pop and then never happened.

I got in touch with Nasty Facts members like 3 years years ago to do the reissue and i was told that the Jimbocco dude was going to reissue the whole Jimbocco catalog like VERY soon...yeah right...still waiting...and who really needs a Rousers (US) reissue ? Seriously...
The Jimboco guy stirred up a bunch of shit on Discogs a year or so ago.

It appears they do not have it in stock, at least for right now, but historically Record Shop Base has been good for ordering from the US.

I felt obligated to revive this thread after listening to Thee Headcoats version of "Action Time Vision" for the first time in a long time.

I'm pretty disconnected from new music, but did enjoy the Beatniks 7" on Neck Chop.

Anyway...looking for other freakers/improv players/metal HEADS/boozers to hang and play with while I?m down here. Also looking for a few good bars, thrift shops, music stores etc.
I only know St Pete and the best places to meet degenerate rockers would be Planet Retro Records (owner Rob played drums in a lot of bands in the 90s), The Bends, and The Emerald Bar. The Bends has fairly regular shows and DJ nights.

Where do shows go on in Florida and what cities are popping???
Rich from Florida's Dying in Orlando has pretty much the longest running TermBo aligned scene.

That's great. I didn't know about that.

The first time I saw Dead Moon was in Denver in 2004. It was theoretically a great bill - The Ponys / Dead Moon / The Dirtbombs. I watched The Ponys first. They were ok. Then Dead Moon killed it. I watched 3-4 songs from The Dirtbombs and left because I couldn't tolerate a band that wasn't Dead Moon the rest of that night.

In case anyone cares, I uploaded their cover of "Silver Train" to YouTube. It had been lacking.

I've been listening to Cheater Slicks about 15 years and one thing I like is how at any given time you can listen to a song you've heard 10, 20, or 30 times before and suddenly have an experience. I had a moment where the song "Refried Dreams" blew my mind just a few weeks ago.

Great job keeping this thing going, Rich. I'm fairly checked out on new music and you inspired me to look into a few bands.

I HATED Velocity after 16 Wires and have probably listened to Velocity uhm, never since then...I saw them only around their very end...slouching towards Oasis shite and totally boring... >:(
I saw them in 2000 and thought they were already pretty dull at that point.

It's been a while since I last tried, and I've tried a few times, but I've never been able to get into 16 Wires.

My favorite songs are from the earlier singles and demos, like "High School" and "Broken My Heart".

Sounds good to me and I have to say Teenage Head is a pretty good comparison.

Alternative Record Store in Tampa. They only carried punk and hardcore so no classic rock filler or anything like that. I bought all the 90s Rip Off and Estrus type stuff there and got a killer Drags poster I have framed now. They seemed like they did good business so it doesn't make sense why they closed circa 1999 or 2000, at the very beginning of file sharing, rather than later after weathering the storm for a few years.
