Stayed at the hotel this was filmed at. The guy who smashed the can into his head at the end of the video showed up and did meth in our bathroom.

True, the ones inspired by Gentlemen Jesse or whatever were dull and shitty; At least the EH clones were colorful ridiculous peacocks (who also were shitty). Plastic Letters forever!!
Wooooah ooooh oh
Loved it, listened to it a bunch, suffered through a horde of imitators with not one of them being worthwhile and completely burnt out. These things happen.
Got mine last friday and spent most of the weekend glued to this book...I still haven't find a record not listed....
I said it earlier in this thread but I think the nasty facts single is one of the best overlooked singles of the era. Glad to hear people will be able to buy it again
Nothing overlooked here. It's been a punk/power pop fav since its release and hasn't let up. I don't love it, but its popularity is undeniable. This record is usually one of the first people hear when they dip their toes into New Wave era obscurities.
hasn't been on a comp since the 80's and every time I play it out I have a bunch of punks ask me what it is. Maybe it used to be mega popular is it is with your social group or something, but it's not on a kbd/bloodstains. The only time I remember seeing it referenced was in that "reference of female fronted punk" and I think it was only "drive my car" (the standout obviously). Their second 7" I think was on that m'lady cassette only comp from a few years back but.... cassette comp....
Well...it's been a KBD 101 band for many years. Obscure to many people in the world, sure, but not obscure to anyone who listens to this sort of music.
NFs were on Back to Front volume 1. This was a pretty influential series, I'd say right after KBD & Bloodstains (and it was compiled by one team), and this volume came out almost 25 years ago. Any band that was on the first volume of one of the big "obscure punk" compilations is pretty well known.
This is a lame thing to "argue" about, for sure. But Nasty Facts are a pretty well-known band in the KBD world.
ugh, just listened to (parts of) those tenement songs. i don't know what i was expecting, but what i got was what i should've been expecting. fragments modern machines shrubbers EWWW.
