The Dictators- Bloodbrothers

Go Girl Crazy has always been one of my favorite records, but I never bothered checking out their other stuff cuz someone told me it sucked. Boy were they wrong. I've been spinning this all day. Big dumb riffs, stupid lyrics. Love it. I'll never listen to anyone's advice ever again.

favorite dictators record. stay with me, minnesota strip, faster and louder....

Jammed Bloodbrothers in the car on the way home from work. "Stay With Me" x2. Was gonna throw Manifest Destiny on when I got home, but the "Slow Death" cover inspired to spin this instead:

...and now I feel like throwing the rest of my records out (except the Dictators. DFFD brother.)

This 2xLP comp is real good as well.  Much of that Norton comp is on LP1:

Guessing he's mostly referring to the double bass drum with that comparison, which would actually make sense..

sweet had a ton of hard rock songs.  action and hellraiser are two obvious candidates.

They did have a ton of hard rock songs, none of those really qualify though..

i'll concede that the packaging is definitely and unarguably top notch but i gotta admit i'm a little underwhelmed with the musical content of the box set.  seems like i might be alone one this but whatever.

Besides the Gems side, what did you find disappointing?

That Giuda record is weak wannabe glam ....it sounds like Taxi.  It's pretty much rehashed Slaughter and the Dogs riffs for the most part....couple of cool sounding songs but overall it's pretty boring

Shit mega-sucks.  It's just rehashed cut 'n paste jobs.  It is mildy impressive how well they emulated some of the production qualities, but that doesn't make it good.  ...And it does sound like Taxi.
