and couldn't get past the gross-looking orange filter on Fury Road (or how the whole movie just felt like bad speed).

One of many problems with Fury Road is that it feels like a Disney-production. The gritty, sadistic aura from The Road Warrior is non existent, Fury Road is cute in comparison. I,m really surprised that so many people with good taste fell for it, don't think the action scenes are that hot either, it's just one step to utter garbage like the Gone in 60 Seconds franchise. The guitar player is the silliest thing I,ve ever seen, are people into Korn now or what?!

Agreed, this movie looked like filtered shit and the actors were dull & poorly casted and it was just a bunch of crap happening quickly and brightly. Just like what it wasn't supposed to be. I guess because Miller etc were involved and people were fooled thusly?

Feel the same way. Soulless crap without any charismatic bad guys. My friends (who all loved the film) praised the feminist subtext. The Road Warrior got assfucked big time I say.

Not into those, either, or modern metal. But I'll take Gary Wrong, Timmy Vulgar, Hank Wood and Obnox over some boring leather twats who couldn't write an engaging song with a gun to the head. Then again, I doubt I'll ever attend another festival, as they suck.

Good bands but what about all that generic garagerock and poppunk? I've been both to Gonerfest and Roadburn (unlike most here) many times. At Roadburn you can see anything from deathmetal, doom, synth, black to Groundhogs, Hawkwind, Comus, Amon Duul II. But yeah, it's kinda unfair to compare,  cuz Roadburn got a lot more cash for booking big bands. But many american festivals have the exactly the same profile as Gonerfest (been to Now Thats Class as well).

In my country they wanna change our laws on basic human rights, which has been greatly criticized by Amnesty International. This is unheard of and fueled by utter paranoia. Sweet little liberal Denmark is turning into a police state.
