Finally got THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW : Whats For Dinner, it's even better than their 1st album (didn't think it was possible), so obviously a BIG contender for album of the year.

Vox Pop rules! I only have "More Drugs that Elvis" but I'm assuming it's the same LP. Do they cover the Velvet Underground and Grand Funk Railroad on that record Eric?

Dip his dick in shoe polish!

That's the one.  Sloppy to the point of all-out tunelessness, covers are ridiculous and bad, and the originals aren't even that great -- but it's been on the turntable for days.
Everybody hates Powertrip...I reckon.

river city tanlines new album,
Heard it like 5 times now, it's good but a bit of a letdown compared to the 7"s (and the singles comp) aint it?

Wow! Poison Idea's new one is THAT good? Saw'em last winter, and yes the new members were tighter than before, but Jerry was of course too drunk to sing more than 30% of the actual lyrics, haha. Saw'em once before in 1990, not much better then.

Is LiveFastDie's "Bandana Thrash Record" from 2006? If so it's probably my fave LP. Same goes for Knaughty Knights 7".

The new Mojomatics - now here you have a case of 'generic European bluescrap'. Quite unique actually. God, what a disappointing album.

I think Mojomatics is a lot more than just a 'generic European bluescrap', their excellent debut album has flavors of 60s garage and powerpop besides a few blues influences. The 2nd album isn't as great as "A Sweet Mama..." or you just hate the band in general? The duo's a great live act.

Best damn psych fuzz spaghetti western soundtrack EVER!

Faust : 71 Minutes Of Faust (maybe their best)

Boris : Akuma No Uta (drone stoner punk)

Queen : II (great great album)

Nick Lowe : Labour Of Lust (used to like this record, but its rather boring now)

Fruit Eating Bears : Gentle Creatures Despite Their Fierce Appearance (very underrated UK punkband)

Randy Holden : Population II (the perfect missing between between Sabbath and Hendrix?)

It's a very silly interview, haha. But I love the "Learn To Hate..." album.

The long John Kezdy/Effigies interview is very interesting.

little richard turned all his songs into choruses and instead of verses there are solos by all his band members, so all his songs are like 20 minutes long, 19 of it horn solos.
Hahaha. I saw him in the late90s, drunk outta my skull, but I've been wondering why he played for 2 hours but didn't do that many songs...I think you answered that. Still, that little queen is one helluva performer. The show also incl. 3 halfnaked muscle men dancing in thongs like crazy.
