Sparks- Angst in my Pants, not extremely familiar with sparks, this record is good but all songs on it kind of pale in comparison to the title track

You're kidding. I love every song on that album (except maybe Tarzan and Jane).

Rules. Didn't know if they would translate well to LP, but man was I wrong. Exactly what I hoped it would be. Thoroughly impressed.

The Quick - On Holiday with Earle Mankey 7"

Bummer. Was really looking forward to this, but it's completely unnecessary. Not digging either track at all.

The Lyres French Box Set of AHS 1005, On Fyre and Someone Who'll Treat You Right Now.

The shop had it listed at $75, but they were going out of business so it was marked down to $15.

I think this is my favorite lp of the year. I just happened upon them opening for Iceage in Boston and they blew Iceage out of the water (and I actually thought Iceage was pretty good, sloppy, but enjoyable). If I didn't see Guitar Wolf this year, they'd probably be the best performance I'd seen all year as well.
