Non-Music Shit / Re: USPS hate

Fuck UPS, more like it. Rotten fuckers of the highest order. Fake duty/customs fees, shittiest service, insanely expensive and they force employees to wear those ridiculous uniforms, man!

International postage is a nightmare. From a Canadian that used to mailorder a TON of records, I can confirm, this has definitely hurt the industry. Postage is almost always more than the cost of the LP for a Canadian order now. Even our local post office is expensive - it costs less for me to order an LP from Germany than one mailed to me from my own city.

It costs pennies on discogs now and there are tons of copies of all colours for sale (I'm sure someone has already pointed out)

Same with the vast majority of once popular stuff from that era (Viv Girls, Sex Vid, Mayyors etc., although I do actually dig all three of those examples).

Music Shit / Re: DEAD: Peter from P.Trash Records

It was a pretty rough weekend for me. Fairly worried about Suzanne and the kids, as the label/mailorder was their sole source of income.

That is a rough situation. If there is any sort of online benefit (or is that primarily a US thing?), please make sure to share any details here.

A few of us have been discussing starting something if one doesn't appear on its own. Either way, I'll definitely be sure to post anything of note here.

I never considred P. Trash that crucial of a label because they put out just so much stuff, but looking back there's a lot of really good stuff. I definitely have to give it to him for being one of the first proponents for Jeffrey Novak, before Americans got wise.

Even though the label had its hands in many facets, to me, I'll always associate the it with the whole mid-2000's Feelers/Fatals-esque sound. Missing it a lot these days, it seems.

I haven't had a release on the label in a number of years, but always considered Peter a friend and his dedication was unmatched. He truly believed in it.

Also still have my fingers crossed (lollllllllllllllll) that THE FINGERS LP comp/unreleased thing will happen someday. Broken Rekkids was supposed to at one point...

The KBD Fingers or the budget rock one? Hoping there are more recordings of the KBD band. The Isolation single is wild.
