When they played here a few years back, it was like $30+, and from what I hear it echoed the "new shit only" vibe.

Booji Boys LP (from Halifax) is out today on Drunken Sailor. Band fuckin' rips. Coneheads/Liquids/CCTV fans should jump on it; only 300 and almost gone.

I hope whoever bought this knows that this isn't an OG. These have been booted like crazy and even says "possible reissue" in the description. Or is that what these stupid things are going for these days? I doubt it.

Because my wife's pregnant, we had to cancel our Florida shows last month, in case of the off-chance I were to get it and pass it to her. I even called the state's hotline, and they literally said "do NOT come here".

Aside from the birth defects, it sounds as though it's not as scary as it's made out to be.

Not that it should be a surprise to anyone, but the new Blind Shake LP is FUCKING GREAT.

That actually would be quite a surprise to me...their live shows can be fun at times, but I haven't liked any of their albums so far.  I haven't heard the new one though.

Breakfast of Failures is probably their best, but the most recent isn't far from it. That said, I'm a huge fan of the band on the whole, so... take that as you will!

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: Dow Jones & the Industrials 2xLP

Picked it up from my local shop back in October. Surprisingly great retail price for a 2xLP! Only a buck or two more than what we pay for most Goner/ITR standard releases here.

Oh my bad.

But.....pink??

OK. (no not OK, gross)

Got Ivy Green on the last boot go-round about a decade ago.
Essential for punkers! and apparently pinkers!

Not sure why there isn't an official one at this point. 1977 did it before the boot, which I imagine was legit?

Sohrab from Obits' new band with James Canty called SAVAK is awesome. Doubt I've mentioned that here yet.

Otherwise I've been spinning the Scientists and Dow Jones 2xLP's non-stop.

Moncton is probably my top spot out East. Spin It is a killer store, usually a ton of cool bands kickin' it and most definitely a lot of punks per capita, considering it's not very big.

Halifax/PEI are both awesome from a tourist perspective. Very beautiful. Same with Cape Breton. But again, I'd go sooner rather than later, because these places start to be much less appealing once the weather worsens. I'm not sure Cape Breton has much to offer in the winter, unless you like meth.
