Ryan's 34 - he had the benefit of getting heavily into punk collecting in college in the early '90s when pretty much the ceiling for a punk record was $100 (I remember in college in '89 seeing a copy of "Cough Cool" on the wall at In Your Ear in Boston on consignment from Chuck Warner for $200, and that was the most expensive record I'd ever seen.) And that was for known stuff... most of then-unknown stuff could still be picked up pretty cheaply "in the wild."

That actually just set a new low for that record - not counting what band members and old classmates were paid during the initial blitz, of course.

ryebread just sold a Tapeworm for $688 too.

It's another victim of eBay cracking down on their "no cash payment" policy (a bidder posted the "sorry, the auction was cancelled" form email on garagepunk.com).

I had a Defex "Machine Gun Love" pulled a couple of weeks ago a few days into the auction for the same reason because I violated two gospels: I listed well-concealed cash as an acceptable form of payment, and I had links to my own trade pages. Fine, I can deal with that, but I also had six other listings with the same exact wording and they escaped unscathed... it's because Defex was at $127 and the others were barely at $10. eBay must do keyword searches on auctions over a certain dollar amount or something. Same thing happened to a Hugh Beaumont Experience a couple of months ago, the day before it was ending. I'm sure there's tons more similar stories out there.
