I have this...somewhere. If i can locate it I'll send it your way.

I'm pretty sure all these versions are previously released. I'm certain the TIREFIRE songs are from the demo tape.

this thread reminds me of talking to a friend fresh back from the states in the early 90s and asking him if people over there knew much about aus bands and him saying that a few people know about feedtime and stuff, but a lot ask about shit like the angels and he tried to set them straight by telling them that theyre just like our version of huey lewis and the news.

Well, huey did produce the first crime single. Last good thing he did as far as I know.

I enjoy the first two angels lps but I also like a lot of shitty music so there's that.

The DWG show was in Chicago at Liar's Club (though Mike lives in Columbus these days).

Lineup is Mike on vocals, the bass player from the "Thirst for Knowledge" EP, and Malcolm Bliss on drums (who played on the 3rd EP and everything after including Bullets for Pussy - he's on drums for all of the "Second Verses" LP).  Mike still seems to hate Stan's guts, and there's two guitarists taking his place.

Lotta footage up on Youtube, what I watched was good.

thanks, was wondering if doskocil and seitrich were both involved. not generally enthused about reunions...upwards onwards forever forwards i say. watched a bit of the recent dwg's on y/tube, better than i expected, but the unresolved animosities of those two on display would make it more interesting.

I just watched the two recent gig DWG vids on youtube. Former band members threatening legal action and quarrelling about songwriting credits in the comments! Never change guys!

Music Shit / Re: The "Why isn't this reissued on vinyl thread?" Part 2

Snagged. Thanks!

Also revisiting The EPs Of R.P., which is unfuckwithable; coupled with my normal go-to Death Church, pretty tough to beat.  The slide is pretty severe after that though, at least in my opinion.

Give Cacophony another chance.

Cacophony is one of my all time favorite lps. Bought it when it came out. Difficult, yeah maybe but it didn't sound like anything else I had ever heard at the time including the previous RP records. I almost guarantee that if you keep listening it will consume you like yog sothoth or whatever HPL was on about.

Totally. It's also fucking shinier than any other record I can think of.

Thanks, yeah that's right. I've grabbed some from him before. Good prices even with the intl postage rates being fucked forever and all. Florida's Dying also had the last svart KBD comp I think.

I truly wish that the terms minimal synth, darkwave, coldwave and PE would go away. Seems to me these almost never correctly describe whatever genre they are attempting to describe.

Agreed as well. it's good but doesn't stand out much against the glut of OSDM bands happening right now. It sure seems that the genre is even larger and more homogenized/formulaic musically these days than it was in the late 80's - early 90's. What I'm sayin' is the best of the first wave of DM bands all had their own distinctive sound within the genre. To much same same for me with most new OSDM but I think the true diehards like it this way.
