Dude wearing a Zero Boys t-shirt at the 3:14 mark in the new Katy Perry video:

(It's more visible at the 2:43 and 3:39 marks of the "lyric video":

POP + PUNK

This is almost as weird as the DOOM and GISM patches in that Lady Gaga video...

Music Shit / Alex Chilton 1975-1981: Feature Story at Crawdaddy
« on: November 13, 2009, 08:53:25 AM »
There's a really in-depth feature about Alex Chilton up today at the Crawdaddy! site:

http://www.crawdaddy.com/index.php/2009/11/12/alex-chilton-1975-1981/

The writer, David Gendelman, spoke with Tav Falco, Jon Tiven, and several others, including Jim Dickinson shortly before he passed away in August. Covers his work with the Cramps, the recording of Singer Not the Song, Like Flies on Sherbert, Live in London, the early days of Panther Burns, etc. A really good read.

(Full disclosure: I work for this site, but was honestly enthralled by this piece. Hope the Chilton/Big Star fans here enjoy it too.)
