Tell him to take Rank/Xerox on tour.

They're touring the East Coast this August.

David from BS / R/X asked me to relay this message here:

"This is David from Burning Sensation, Rank/Xerox etc...I just had a bunch of BS records delivered here, you can buy it from the vertexrecords.bigcartel. com and I will post within the USA, or if you
live in SF I could probably deliver one if you live somewhere sensible. I'll have them at Rank/Xerox shows, and am gonna try stock them in some stores/distros, if anyone represents a distro/store/hoarder hit me up, we can work out a price. ratcolumnsATgmailDOTcom. It's 20$AU postpaid individually, it's a little expensive but hey, it's cheaper than Sublime Frequencies! Thanks."

Music Shit / Re: Recent Acquisitions

Good day at Amoeba Berkeley yesterday:

100 Flowers - Drawing Fire EP
Crystalized Movements - Revelations from Pandemonium LP
Kinks - Arthur LP
Units - Digital Stimulation LP
Human Eye - They Came from the Sky LP

Got some good stuff at End of an Ear in Austin last week as well:

Bob Seger System - Mongrel LP
John Fahey - Volume 3: The Dance of Death & Other Plantation Favorites LP
Phantom Tollbooth - Power Toy LP
Redd Kross - Teen Babes from Monsanto EP

I've been enjoying an odd assortment of cheap 'n' cheerful recent acquisitions:

Ian Matthews - If You Saw Thro' My Eyes  Total ripper!
Pezband - Pezband
NRBQ - At Yankee Stadium   Hardly ever see their good records around these days.
Royal Trux - Hand of Glory
Moving Targets - Burning in Water   Wish I had an original of this because the artwork is so much cooler on that version than it is on the later UK issue I've got.

It's really good! Kinda pricey though, as it's an Australian release.

You can get it from the label here: http://www.vertexrecords.bigcartel.com/product/burning-sensation-burning-sensation-12

Also, the whole album's streaming on Soundcloud at BS singer/guitarist David's website if you wanna hear it first: http://rosrecordings.wordpress.com/

feedtime were fantastic! Great fuckin' set. That gnarly guitar tone was worth the price of admission alone.

Wounded Lion really blew me away too.

Nice to meet user: SSR briefly after the show. We have similar haircuts.

And yo, this Prisoners Go Go Band LP is off the chain! Goddamn.

This is sad news.

He was comedy in its purest, most unadulterated form. I'd buy this on wax: http://youtu.be/7UoChk5pZIQ

RIP Macho Man!

Just came across the video for Bailter Space's "New Man":

I had no idea there was a clip for this single! One of my favorite songs.

Look forward to hearing this! Sounds awesome.

Music Shit / Re: YET ANOTHER SPARKS APPRECIATION THREAD

The show I saw Sparks play at UCLA two years ago was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. Drove down there from SF to see them play, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Personally not a huge fan of Exotic Creatures of the Deep, but I like Hello Young Lovers and LOVE Lil' Beethoven.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Re: Archers of loaf reunion

I'm surprised that, in 2011, an Archers of Loaf reunion tour is something that a lot of people would be interested in seeing.

In any case I'll definitely be attending one of the SF shows... big fan!
