Music Shit / Re: Shoegaze thread.

I have to say that Witch Hats come pretty damn close to what everyone is talking about here. I only have the new LP and saw them live last week, but shoegaze was my first thought, and Echo and The Bunnymen.

Did anyone catch Great Plains on Terre T's show last week? Man I figured there'd be 50 pages on this already. Guess '08 is all lofts and reatards. I need to get me a flying V and some boobs.

Non-Music Shit / Re: 4trackers around here?
« on: August 06, 2008, 11:25:15 AM »
I was about to start a thread on 4 track recording and saw this.

I use a tascam porta02mkII.

Has anyone on here ever sat down and typed up a tuturial or tips/tricks list?

Also, what's everyone's preferred method for mixing down?

Would anyone buy a noise record strictly about baseball?

Thanks

Music Shit / Re: New Sic Alps LP

the insert was available at the show last night in Cleveland.  they passed out an insert with each LP purchase.  also available at their shows are the live on WFMU tape, the important 7", and a few cd's.  I swear my LP has blood/rust on it.  it's on the inside paper sleeve, as well as the inner circle on side one.

So now I can feel like I've added something to this board instead of just sneaking away with all the great records.
I'm too lazy to find the link, but dirtnap/green noise records from PDX put this out. Email them and they'll hook you up. Mine's on gold vinyl.

Flying out for this show?

Yeah.
ATTN CLE PEEPZ:
Continental has weekly specials. CLE is a hub, and you can get from CLE to LGA for like $130 roundtrip through these specials every now and then, $45 if you have enough miles. The catch is you hafta leave sat. and fly back mon. or tues. CLE to MKE sometimes as well. MKE folks at this show say hello too, then we can be friends and I can sleep on your floor when I come visit.
