not sure if this really warrants its own topic - but thought it might be interesting for some people

didn't realize this until last night while doing a radio show - but theres a different version of this song (last one on the s/t lp) on the CD - the intro is longer, with some samples and stuff.  Pretty cool.  i'm guessing maybe wherever ITR presses vinyl wouldn't clear the sample so it got the axe for the vinyl version?

I haven't seen the original (or any of Haneke's stuff).  Curious to check it out, and I heard the remake is a shot-for-shot remake - am i better off just renting the original - or seeing the new version on the big screen?

i dont think too many people care anymore - but greg ginn put out three new LPs recently - a new Gone double cd (one instrumental, one with HR on vocals) , Mojack, and Texas Corrugators.   

All 3 of em are available for free download from gregginn.com - the texas corrugators is awful from what i listened to, but the gone w/ HR is worth downloading - at least for a laugh if nothing else, it actually sounds kind of alright - but HR is really out there, and its pretty hilarious (even more so with good weed i'm sure)

for those who dont keep up with the LFG blog, Fucked Up posted a preview of their upcoming mixtape thats supposed to be released near the time of the new LP.  Only 20 or so minutes into it, but pretty sweet so far - lot better than that last single!
