Music Shit / Fun With Acid podcast
« on: June 11, 2017, 07:13:36 PM »
Haven't been posting here a lot, or doing a radio show these days.  So I decided to start a music-only podcast up.  3 episodes done so far, along with a posting of a PSF Records tribute I did on a college station here.  Also been posting a few other things as well.

anyhow check it out here - http://funwithacid.tumblr.com

"Kill the King" was a letdown, but has a few great tracks..."Neighborhood Kid" and "How Many Times" are the first to come to mind.

I see why people have sort of an aversion to AmRep stuff these days...there's definitely an element of cheesiness there, but I still fuck with more AmRep and other noise rock of that era than would be considered cool.  Shit I kicked off one of my recent podcasts with a Surgery track of all things!  Fuck it, it rocked.

edit:  GBs were pretty intense live, not cartoony at all back then.  I also hope Keith V shows up to discuss Cows, God Bullies, and KILLDOZER.

Cunning Stunts.  Also agree w/ the unpopular opinion that God Bullies>Cows - though I never saw the Cows, and the GBs in their prime.

No. What band are you in again?

He's most well-known for his work in Blink 138, and Mad Nanna.

Worse than Pop Punk / Re: Best Exploited albums

I was told a Trump presidency would cause a well spring of radical punk, not Exploited discussions on Termbo.

Those people forgot the chaos!

Are feedtime playing any other shows in the states?

At least one other show in California.  Hoping for a few more.  Chicago maybe?

Black Lips / Re: Black Lips New Song "can't hold on"
« on: May 09, 2017, 11:35:45 PM »
I haven't listened to a Black Lips album in full since 200 Million, and probably haven't listened to em at all for a few years.  Listening to this new one, and it's actually sounding pretty good.

Music Shit / The Damned - any good live these days?
« on: April 22, 2017, 06:43:48 PM »
I thought there was a thread on here about this, but wasn't able to find it if there is.  Anyhow, The Damned are playing here next weekend.  Worth seeing?

Fnu too.
feedtime is hitting the spot.
The new Life Stinks 45 (like, that was unexpected from me...)
The 1st Bloodloss cassette w/Sharron singing is getting LP treatment next month. That's on the Best Of 2017 list SO HARD.

And there's my 1st three months.
See ya next season.

That's the new Feedtime on In the Red?  Was hoping it turned out good!

I've heard the new Tropical Trash single and that is great!  Has Bim playing drums.

Now that we are done talking about Y2K Thrash, let's move onto mysterious guy hardcore.

I don't even know what the lyrics were to these bands,  as I never really listened to them, but I imagine they gotta be even worse than Jimmycore and Mutant Punk lyrics, right? They're probably inspired by Whitehouse, Peter Sotos and Power Electronics, I'd guess.

Not sure what bands would be considered "MGHC" - but the only HC band I remember from that time with a noticeable Sotos/PE influence  were Total Abuse.

The Gaseneta book has been translated into English.  There's also a new live 1978 7" just released.  Search for "Public Bath Press" if interested.
