The Gibson Bros. were nice people (maybe not to each other, but...), they couldn't always hold their collective, but that made for fun (out of town anyway).
Like the old saying starts, "if you weren't there......"

Not sure what the point of the video is, unless it's a riddle (CBGB'S, NY, ?). Only reason I say that is the version of Holocaust that's playing here is from the One Day In New York lp issued by the Japanese label, Trio.
There may be a bootleg 7" out w/this, can't say.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Vertical Slit on Siltbreeze
« on: January 30, 2010, 09:17:49 AM »
As an acknowledgment to the recent Forever Lowman Blog, I'm offering up the Vertical Slit 'Under The Blood Red Lava Lamp' cd on sale throughout Feb.This is an excellent introduction to the band's unique ferocity. Culled from a cassette of the same name, this material dates back to a blistering live performance at Magnolia Thunderpussy Records, circa 1980. This is those 7 tracks +  3 more that were released as the 'Smudge' 7" ep later that yr. Sound quality is mad wicked too, bro (& bro-ess). Price is 10$ ppd US/11$ Canada, 13$ elsewhere. Just Paypal me at sltrx@pil.net
& in the heading write V/Slit cd so I know what is being ordered. Thanks.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / NEW SILTBREEZE TITLES AVAILABLE
« on: January 28, 2010, 07:53:35 AM »
2 New lp's just arrived, 2nd full length outing by US Girl, 'Go Grey' & a limited edition long player of 80's tape collage, sound fuckery by Bren't Lewiis Ensemble.

'Go Grey' is more of the inimitable space vocal/other world pop that is fast becoming the US Girls trademark of quality & frankly, this lp leaves 'Introducing....' eating it's dust. Better, more careful mastering by Meghan Remy this time & a final master mix (for good measure) by Pete Swanson. Look for her on an extensive European tour starting next week.

Bren't Lewiis Ensemble were  a posse of pranksters & sound collage enthusiasts that existed in the shadows of a mythical Chico, CA scene, circa early/mid 80's under the auspices of the Butte Country Free Music Society (aka, BUFMS). Members later went on to create Bananafish Magazine, Glands Of External Secretion & uh, other stuff. This is a limited, 1 time edition lp of 300, fans of LAFMS (specifically Le Forte Four), German Tape Music & the early brut constructs of DDAA wil be appropriately chuffed.

Order here; www.siltbreeze.com

"Also, what is it with Straitjacket Fits? I love Shane Carter's other stuff, but I just don't like them! I know that at the time, they were one of the most successful Flying Nun bands and I know people that really like them, but I just can't hang".

Really? You'd take Dimmer over this?

where can i get a wholesale on this?

Music Shit / Re: Doug Snyder-Bob Thompson "Daily Dance" LP
« on: December 18, 2009, 02:33:37 PM »
It's been a minute since I've spun it, but reminds me of proto-Dead C in one respect. An excellent "free rock" lp regardless & the best record to come out of southern Ohio, or at least Washington Courthouse. The Doug Snyder solo lp is pretty cool too.

Sorry for the confusion; there is no LINK direct to Paypal per se. All I meant was to order a copy, here's the Paypal address to send the money. First copies are now en route, sorry for the delay, been deluged w/Axemen east coast touring responsibilities.
Copies ARE still available but will be gone soon enough. Again, check it out here;

Excellent new split 7" from these 2 bands, TNV do an Axemen cover, Axemen cover TNV. Sleeves are all hand drawn, collaged, etc. The look pretty awesome. Only 350 pressed, no distro at the moment, you gotta get out & see'em to get'em. Check out a couple copies here:

Been getting some emails wondering if this is sold out yet.

Answer is; NO. I'm getting them counted & boxed as fast as possible, but the supply looks fine. For the time being.

Don't worry, when these are gone, I'll take down the Paypal link.

Buy with confidence!
