We are very proud to announce that we are now taking preorders for the first full length record from West Philadelphia?s The Bad Doctors. ?Burning City? has been a work in progress since the band formed back in 2009. While the band now has a few releases under their belt, both the Distractions EP & Spit it Out 7? are really just the start of the band cutting their teeth and developing a sound. From the opening notes of the album it?s very clear that the synth will be taking a major role on this record. Paired with precision drumming, solid bass lines, driving guitar riffs, and poetic lyrics, The Bad Doctors bring a sound that is not to be dismissed. Somehow the band has crafted a hybrid of Post punk, New Wave, Garage, Pop, and Indie that both keeps you in a modern timeframe while also eerily sounding like a lost 80?s record that would have been a hit with fans of bands like New Order, Devo, The Screamers, and Kraftwerk.

A few months back we released the Re Animate EP digitally as a teaser for this album ( This EP is currently a free download on our bandcamp page grab it today at fdhrecords.bandcamp.com ). The EP is just a taste of how Burning City engulfs punk riffs along with an electronic sound perfectly, melting together under the morose vocals, creating something that you can simply get lost in. The Burning City continues a new move in The Bad Doctors groundbreaking study of smart pop structures, orchestrated electronic madness, & the dynamic spectrum from the manic rock, creative melodies, and brooding thoughtfulness. The offical street date for this release is June 3rd. However we will for sure be getting these well before then and all preorders will ship early. We spared no expense with this release and are offering many different package deals including quite a few limited edition versions that are bound to go quick. Please visit our store section to preorder today! We also will be randomly tossing in a few goodies to all preorders including download codes, FDH swag, Tapes, Cd?s, and even a few records. Everyone that preorders get something extra on us (free stuff is all random no special requests).

visit www.fdhmusic.com to order! Limited editions are going quick.

We got a preorder button up for the new Teledrome LP on out page now. This one is gonna be on FDH here in the USA, on Mammoth Cave in Canada, And P.Trash in Germany. We will have 25 copies on color vinyl and they go to the first preorders. Visit fdhmusic.com to preorder the record and to check out the first song from the album "Boyfriend"

?Synth pop punk band from Calgary , Canada . They play a perfect mix of UNITS / SPITS-Synth-Punk, GARY NUMAN-Elektro-Pop, NEW ORDER-Electronic-Dance-Music with a dark fluorescent FAD GADGET or DIGITAL LEATHER vibe! TELEDROME inspired of the early 1980s New York City club scene sound, would fit right in among any of the essential early Factory/Mute Records releases! The record will include the re-recording of a few from the HoZac 7″ as well as a slew of new songs. You can hear the first track ?Boyfriend? on our player now.
Back in Calgary about 6 years ago, there was an amazing garage-punk band called THE CRYPTOMANIACS. If you can find that 7″, it is the best thing from that city in the last 5 years, so hard to find though. That band split when Ian Manhire moved to Ottawa and started WHITE WIRES and SEDATIVES. SEDATIVES first 7″ ?Can?t Calm Down? was originally a CRYPTOMANIACS song called ?Good Enough for Garbage.? Shortly after, Andrew Payne moved to Ottawa and started ZEBRASSIERES and FUN FUNS (later playing in KETAMINES with Paul from Mammoth Cave Rec.). The only person left behind: Ryan Saddler, who is the man behind TELEDROME. TELEDROME?s guitar player is Evan Van Reekum, who is in the great band FIST CITY and co-runs Mammoth Cave from Calgary .?

The New Strange Attractor LP is up for preorder at www.fdhmusic.com. The first 20 copies ordered get a free copy of the bands "Just Looking" 7". Here is a little write up about the new album

"Strange Attractor have a long history in one of Canada?s most alien landscapes ? Sudbury, Ontario, so it is fitting that the aliens in Strange Attractor have made one of the most surprising, compelling and honest LPs of 2013 that no one will hear.
Highlights include the ?Total Shit? trilogy on the b-side. ?Feel Like Total Shit? / ?This is Total Shit? / ?I?m Total Shit? ? three songs that give you a 360 degree views from the dregs of modern life: making bad choices, feeling powerless against the will of people who make bad choices, and just generally having everything stacked against you and turning those bad vibes inwards. In the Strange Attractor land, when we point fingers we have to remember that we are simultaneously pointing at ourselves.
?Back to the Cruel World? will fail to get the attention it rightfully deserves. It will not get the head space it needs, the listening time required to unlock the riches contained within. Sure, there will be a few true believers who will wave the flag of Strange Attractor, who will herald this LP as a cornerstone of Canadian music in 2013, but they will be met with complete blank stares and people turning back to topics they are versed in whenever they try to spread the word.
Why? Strange Attractor are from a small town in Northern Ontario. Strange Attractor don?t tour much, and when they do, they tour in Europe where they are already massive punk rock superstars. Strange Attractor don?t have a street team, management, or a fancy P.R. person who can ?guarantee a Best New Music.? Strange Attractor don?t have a social media strategy outside ?making cool records? and ?making cool videos.? Strange Attractor are not hot 20-year old dudes. There are no drops.
But make no mistake, ?Back to the Cruel World? rules and is perfectly happy standing on its own, outsider status intact. When you find other people with Strange Attractor records on their shelves, give them the secret Punk Handshake? and congratulate them on their good taste."

For anyone that missed it the debut 7" from Primitive Hearts (originally on No Rules records) is now available again from www.fdhmusic.com in the store section under 7"s.

Here is nice little review of it

"The band spews out scuffed-up powerpop that has as much pent-up energy as Gentleman Jesse. It comes less rootsy and more awkward, but if you can sit still through the self-titled ?Primitive Heart?, we doubt you?d pass an empathy test. One of the of the scrappiest love songs of the year, it?s vulnerable without being sappy. The hook is ample, but the verse is what gets stuck in your head, swirling around uplifting major chords that shake you into submission. It feels like a sucker-punch before ?Believe Me?, which bellows with enough background ?oooh-ooooos? to make Shannon Shaw blush. ?Killing Time? hits a mid-tempo stride with a dirty lick and sing-along vocals before venturing into the minute long Flamin? Groovies stomp of ?Breakdown?. It could be the production by Elvis Christ, but the EP is saturated in the same ball-in-hand catchiness as Nobunny?s First Blood. Sure, it?s lacking the signature mania, but Primitive Hearts display an overall simplicity that?s done to perfection."- Zach Stephenson/ Get Bent (No Rules Records)

We have 2 new vinyl LPs on the way this June. Both records are already out digitally if your into MP3's. We also have preorders for the vinyl up ion the FDH page and as normal Im giving away some goodies.

POPPETS - Steal it like a thief ? ?Have you ever chewed a big wad of bubblegum on the beach and gotten sand blown in your mouth? That sugary crunchiness, crackle and pop sensation is similar to the sound of POPPETS, a drum machine based garage-pop duo from Sweden. The group consists of Lina and Magnus, whose crazy pop hooks will instantly make you fall head over heels in love.? This is the bands first LP since 2009 that I co-released with P.Trash. We still have the old LP in stock and have lowered the price to just 5$. Also if anyone orders both LP?s I will be sure to make your copy of the old LP a limited mailorder copy (while supplies last I only have about 20 left of that version).

PRIMITIVE HEARTS - High & Tight - ?Primitive Hearts finally bring their first full length album to the table, following up their recent 7″ on the band?s own No Rules Records. This Oakland, CA based power trio have undoubtedly mastered the brass-knuckled, bubblegum garage-pop sound. Blasting through 12 three chord power pop hits in under 25 minutes, Primitive Hearts have learned to channel the aspects of all of your current west coast favorites. They somehow capture the vintage R&B hooks of Shannon and the Clams, the sloppy rawness of Nobunny, the pop sensibility of Hunx, all with the energy of Mean Jeans. This record is a perfect, feel-good anthem for the upcoming 2013 summer. Co-released between 3 labels: FDH (Philly), Resurrection (CA), & P.Trash (Germany)

We are selling these LP's for 11$ each or both for 19$. Also all preorders will be entered into the drawing to win some goodies. Hwere is what we are offering.

A brand new sub-division of FDH records has started. Suicide Bong Tapes is a joint venture of me (Eric from FDH records) and Steve from Sick Chattel productions (the dude who books shows at JR?s bar in South Philly). The idea is to do all cassette tapes limited to 100 copies. We also plan on at least in the start doing just Philly bands. Tapes are 3$ each.

Spent Flesh - After A self released demo CD and a 10″ record on FDH/P.Trash/ Sit and Spin records, this Philly based weirdo punk thrash band is back. This tape collects a few tracks from the 10″ as well as 3 unreleased tracks.

Nightfall - Philly based Raw D-Beat punk featuring ex members of Dissystema blast thru 30 tracks on this tape. A collection of 2 out of print ep?s, a slew of unreleased tracks, and a live set.

Still working out some webpage stuff but got the basics up.

Music Shit / registrators
« on: October 11, 2012, 05:03:20 PM »
So doing my record listen thru A-Z I hit the registrators today. First time I listened to them for years. I gotta say (and knowing I might get alot of shit for it) I think Velocity is my favorite of their records. Why is this record so hard to find? Does anyone have any sort of contact info for any of them as I would really love to reissue this one.
