Haven't heard the other record but apparently this is the record that FDH passed on.  I heard the CDR and it's really good.

I didnt pass on it. I was going to do a split 7" for them, but then we agreed that rather then a split 7" they should find a new home for the singles and I would do an LP in 2009.

shit I was stuck at work all day long. Damn it. If anyone has a extra I can trade you most of the singles for it (2,3,4,5 Jay Version)

Non-Music Shit / Re: Colour vinyl shortage?

United has tons of problems.  Hey Eric, did you ever have any real crazy delays with Pirates Press?  I never used em....but just being that they at the middleman for GZ in the CZ makes me nervous.  Also, GZ in the CZ needs to be a shitty rapper.

I have only done one LP with them so far but it went quite smooth. It actually worked out well cause they shipped the bands copies to Germany right from the pressing plant. That saved me a bunch on shipping, and the band actually had the record before I did.

anybody ever get plating done direct instead of through the pressing plant?
The first record I did I got the record plated and Mastered with Aardvark mastering. Then they sent the plates to the pressing plant. I was happy with them it just slows everything down.

United seems to be a lot slower lately(payback?)...take a long time to respond to messages as well.

United doesn't press colored vinyl on the thicker slabs. Also, haven't gotten credit for the warped Nobunny copies yet either.

Maybe using Pirate Press here in SF ain't a bad idea.
I started using Pirate Press for my LP'S. They are the 4th pressing plant I have used and by far they are the best I have found as far as quality and Customer service. However they are real expensive. I am still using United for 7"s cause the prices are just not reaqlly beatable (at least that I have seen). I never did any LP'S with them cause everyone I know that has has gotten some warped records in thier batch.

Music Shit / Drummer wanted in Philly
« on: September 27, 2008, 04:52:58 PM »
Looking for a drummer here in Philly. Got some guys together as we are starting a 80's style hardcore band. Its really not gonna be a very full time thing (we all play in other bands so this is just a side project). However we want to write and record some tunes and play some shows. Anyone interested?

I am currently looking for someone that has skill in the art of Screenprinting and some other art stuff. I am probably gonna try and do some sort of limited edition covers on all our upcoming releases. Im looking for someone that I can use on a regular basis. I have a project right now that I need a 7" cover designed and 40 copies silkscreened. I am looking for a few things from this person

1. Must be in the USA (shipping costs are the issue)
2. Someone that can work within deadlines (will give plenty of notice but deadlines   must be reached)
3. someone with fair prices

if your interested drop me a line at erictheill@yahoo.com. Please quote me a price for 7" cover design and 40 silkscreened covers (can be single color work to keep costs down).

anybody know a good place(s) that does lathe cuts?

I know a dude dont in the south that Has a Lathe cutter. Him and I talked a bit about doing some experimental format lathe cutting (cutting into only pieces of vinyl signs and stuff of that nature).  We never ended up following thru with it  mostly on my end. If you want his contact info just let me know.I almost bought a lathe myself about a half year ago, but figured I should just keep putting out records rather then buying a machine thats was 60 years old. Here is a lathe message board I used to hit up from time to time Im sure someone their can point you in the right direction. http://lathetrolls.phpbbweb.com/lathetrolls.html
