Music Shit / Crypt Records Brooklyn/USA mailorder

The Crypt Records location in Brooklyn has closed it's doors according to the website and the mailorder for USA is gone as well.  Did they close from lack of business or get forced out for rent reasons?

Good thing I didn't venture around Brooklyn on Saturday night looking for the store.  Opted for Academy Records down the street from the venue where KK/BBQ gigged instead (found some cool shit but that place was $$$).

  I've read reviews of Bulgakov's books on Amazon from Russian readers basically saying "Americans can't understand/appreciate this book the way we do."

Funny how these Russian readers single out Americans as opposed to anyone that is not Russian or part of the ol' Soviet Union.

At some point in the not too distant future I have every intention of buying Chinese Democracy if only for all of the drama behind it.  Seriously, even if it's a total piece of shit it will have some value to me even if it just makes for a good paperweight.  This is the album I've been waiting on for years.  I can still remember watching the '97 year end show on MTV where they claimed this record would be out sometime in '98.  Oh, Axel!  You crazy fuck!

Currently reading Casino Royale by Ian Fleming.  Decent book thus far.  It's my first attempt at reading Bond novel. 

Next up is Too Fat to Fish by Artie Lange.  Looking foward to it.

Recently finished a great book about the Detroit riots called Nightmare in Detroit; A Rebellion and its Victims.  The book is oop but I found a copy at the local library.

Non-Music Shit / Scranton, PA

Tomorrow morning begins my 9-10 hr drive to Scranton, PA.  Well, Lake Winola, but close enough.  I'll be visiting my family for Thanksgiving and then heading to Jersey on Friday to visit a friend and terrorize NYC and hopefully catch the Brooklyn KK/BBQ gig.

Is there anything in the Scranton area worth checking out whilst hanging with the folks?  I certainly don't want to be stuck in their house Sun-Thurs with nothing to do.  Directions to the Schrute family farm anyone?

Any cool bars or music stores or sites of note.  A soccer friendly pub would be nice so I can watch Champions League on Tues and Weds.

I too got the axe.  About 2 weeks ago.  There are no jobs in Michigan.  I think the time has come for me to put my tail between my legs and move back in with the folks in Pennsylvania.  Fuck!

Being a Tiger fan I can say that 2008 was a shitty year.  The big trade for Carbera was either going to make the Tigers the best team in baseball or fall flat on their faces.  The latter became the reality.  My hope is that the address the pitching issue this offseason.

This fine piece of malware has infected the laptop of a friend.  Has anyone had success combating AntiVirus Pro?  According to Wikipedia and a few other sites Malwarebytes works pretty good.  Allegedly better than McAfee and Norton.  Any help or tips very much appreciated.
