Do you know when exactly?  Depending on the team they're playing, you can find some decently priced stuff on StubHub (and by "decent" I mean nosebleeds for like $40-$50 each).   But there's not many "bad" seats in the Bell Centre, to be honest.

There's a few games in March that look reasonably priced (including against Dallas), with tickets starting a bit under $50

March or April. We've also discussed going to the Maiden show on 4/1 which would rule out a Habs game but I'll be checking out StubHub for possibilities.

There's a good chance I'll be in Montreal a few days in the spring. What are the odds of getting two Habs tickets if there's a game going on when in town?

Abby and Larkin ran wild on Babs and his Leafs.

I'm in LA for the USA v Mexico match at the Rose Bowl and just returned from a trip downtown at the Staples Center. Coyotes embarrassed the Kings.

This is primarily a soccer site but I'm watching Ottawa v Buffalo now and it works okay.

Damn. Only three signed up so far for the league. I'll ask around and see if I can't lure someone in but the odds of that are slim.

« on: September 19, 2015, 11:17:02 AM »
I never understood the fascination with weed. The most I ever smoked was during a single week in the summer of '00. A friend at the time would pick me up in his shitty, fifth generation Dodge Charger with no muffler and we'd toke up as he sped down a frontage road blasting Slayer. Our trip ended at the Cinnebon in Louis Joliet Mall. This happened every day that week.

Smoked the odd time here and there before and after, different shit. Last time was in Amsterdam back in '06. I never had a bad experience but I always found the smell, aftertaste and burning sensation in the lungs to be not worth the hassle. Some good laughs, for sure but nothing overly impressive.

I've long been annoyed by stoner culture. Maybe this has psychologically affected my experiences.

But I fully applaud any and all legalization efforts and wish the pot heads here a merry time toking.

Listening to the new Maiden on the drive into work. Not great nor up to par with the classic Maiden releases but it's still pretty good.

I've also been listening to the scores for Mad Max: Fury Road & Thief. Dig 'em both.

...Maybe Newark, NJ, too.

Seriously?  The Ironbound neighborhood is one of my favorite places.

Ironbound is fine. That doesn't count.

There are certain places in Newark I wouldn't go, not in my car, in the daylight. It's not a "good idea"...

I think every city has areas like that. One of my best friends was born & raised and lives in Newark. Worst he's experienced is a car break-in. Newark is better than the rap it gets. It's not paradise but it's not hell on earth.

The most depressing place I've been to is Checotah, OK.
