529 Flat Shoals is a new club in East Atlanta Village among several other bars and venues and a new late-night record store. Great small room venue and some of us are trying to direct their booking towards some awesome shit and make this thee new spot.
ANYBODY here interested in trying it out contact partypandaproductions@gmail.com and mention "Kevy Duty" referred you. I'll be glad to throw down DJ service most nights as well.

Jesse was in great form, first time I saw him with the newer line-up. I just wish they'd write some new material already. Correct about Atlas, should have put him first, at least. Reigning Sound cancelled due to a "family matter" but that was announced at least a month ago.

The Good
The Nah
It was a fun time as usual and I'm glad to see the guys doing so well and still having fun making great music but I probably won't be going to anymore of their shows of this size unless the bill is filled out with some other winners.
- Didn't play any of the questionable material from the new album.
- "I'll Be With You" dedicated to BJ, raised my hand and sang along.
- Lots of vintage material.
- "Mustang Sally" interlude.
- Going hoarse to the chorus of "Elijah".
- All Mighty Destroyers encore!
The Nah
- 1000 people I had never seen at any show.
- Having to by tickets from a scalper for a band that I used to get to play in my home (my fault for sleeping on it, but still).
- Seeing Jessica Juggz crying during "I'll Be With You".
- Black Lips capos!
- Only shenanigans involved was some TP throwing, no big whoop.

I'm gonna say that overall its a decent album, not great. Somewhat of a challenging listen, even for Black Lips fans, but is not pandering to the Vice demographic. They're just doing what the fuck they feel like doing, for better or for worse, but respectable none the less.

there are curses on other songs though, and they are left un-bleeped
Its gotta be purposeful, the whole song smacks of "experimental". I like the track!

Most of the way through and not really blown away or anything.
"Drop" is definitely a new direction for them. Interesting but I'd like to be hearing less of that and more of "Drugs" and "Take My Heart". Will be fun if they try to pull that one off live though.
