Is I'll Be With You about someone in particular?

I think its about Ben Eberbaugh.

Sounds an awful like dirty hands to me.

Sounds like "Love Is Strange" to me!

Yes, not saying nobody knew about this, just cool to stumble across these in a 40 cent bin.  I'm guessing its Mom and Dad and . . . older brothers(?).

There's actually one or two nice gospel numbers on here but they're totally ruined by little kid voice.

Black Lips / More For The Black Lips Completist

Found these two pre-Black Lips gems in an Atlanta thrift store yesterday.  Both are VG/VG.

These guys had a huge influence on The Black Lips.  Trey, care to help me out on the genealogy here?

"Old Man" ZZ Top cover?  I know, no way, but that would be the ultimate in irony.  Haww.

I need a what.cd invite or I guess I'm waiting on Die Slaughterhaus.

RIP Mad Daddy.

The Cramps were certainly a jumping off point for me and always stayed near the top of my stack throughout the years.

lux is not the mad daddy. his is A mad daddy, but mad daddy is someone else entirely.

I'm hip.

Cole singing on the video, guess this is the first time he's been pushed that far up and that intelligible.

Definitely weird and definitely better on the live version.  I wouldn't call it bad, but it is totally glossy for them.  Who's producing this one?

It sounds like Joe on the backing vocal, main vocal really is pretty different.

Did any of them go on to any other relevant groups?

I remember seeing on their website when they were together that an album was in the can and even had those song lyrics posted there for a short time.  Anybody remember/know what became of that?

Cool, thanks.

Thought I might have missed being logged on at a certain time to get the secret password to the special site with the impossibly difficult game of wack-a-mole to win or something.

Goner will be giving away the entire set, autographed, in a week.

Stay tuned.
Has this happened yet?

Black Lips / Re: Yikes

From NME.com:

The trouble stemmed from an incident during the band's gig at Chennai's Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall on Friday (January 23), when guitarist Cole Alexander reportedly stripped and jumped into the crowd.

According the Indian music blog Indiecision.com, Alexander then "proceeded to get back on stage and make out with the other band members".
