Vinyl showed up today. Covers next week. Out for Sundown Showdown 2 at the Yucca on April 9/10. I won't start taking orders until everything is in hand.

The comp is called "Arizona Incest" and I think there is one previously unreleased Wongs track and a live version of "I Can't Wait".

I guess I am just so used to missing out on shows because no one promotes them up really. They just tell their friends and figure that is enough.

If you make it back to the Phoenix area Sunday night, Wizzard Sleeve are playing at the Rogue in Scottsdale (location elsewhere on this thread) if that is your thing. Just found out about this. AZ promoters are kinda shitty like that.

Taste Of Tops would be your best bet in Phoenix/Tempe.
Yucca opened a side room that supposedly has a great selection of beers but I have not been on that side yet.
British Open is a "british" pub so you will find Smithwicks, Boddingtons, etc. Food is decent there too.
The rest are all standard fare as far as beers go.

Kudos to you for picking the one weekend around SXSW that AZ seems to be vacant of good live music. Probably for the best. A list of bars I find tolerable to throw back a few include...

Yucca Tap Room (corner of Mill and Southern)
Palo Verde (total dive bar. On Broadway just west of Hardy)
Taste Of Tops (lots of beer choices. no hard booze unless that changed recently. On University)
SCOTTSDALE
British Open (corner of McDowell and Scottsdale)
Rogue Bar (on Scottsdale just north of McKellips)
