Gdansk is definitely worth at least a day or two. Some really nice old buildings. The center was largely rebuild after the city was heavily damaged during the second world war, but the Soviets decided to preserve it as a kind of monument. The only other city I visited was Krakow. I've been told that Wroclaw and Warsaw are also worth a visit. But from what I understand all the big cities suffered heavily during the war, so if you're looking for nice architecture it's easier to find it in smaller towns like Torun and Zamosc.
Pick up some Zubrowka once you're there. It's the best vodka there is.

Apart from records, and to a lesser extent books I don't buy antyhing that I can't eat or drink. I don't see the point.
Although when I was around 14 I used to collect Heineken merchandise. I gave that up once I started drinking beer and realised how bad that stuff is.

I first read Catcher in the Rye when I was 12, didn't like it. Then I had to read it for school when I was 15 and thought it was great. Two years later, at a different school, I had to read it again and thought it was terrible. I guess it only was a relevant book when I was at a certain age.

Last time I was there I took a tour of the former Stasi prison. Grim as hell but very interesting.

This is about 20 min. walk away from the Stasi museum, which was closed when I tried to visit it. Somewhat difficult to find. You have to go through an alley for about 100 yards until you reach a courtyard.

I actually have a mild form of this, weak muscle tone and poor fine motor skills. If I'm really tired or stressed I can't stand up for longer than a few minutes without trembling slightly. I also tend to be fairly destructive, though not in a cool way, just in a - I just knocked over another glass - incompetent sort of way.
Also, I once listend to the Tough Shits after some guy mentioned them, he warned me I probably wouldn't like it, but I was dumb enough to try it. I had to listen to good music for several hours before I managed to redeem myself.
