I was punk in that I was listening to it......other than that, I was a douch. Hold on! Just remembered....I skipped my graduation to go see Fugazi in Memphis. They mailed my diploma to me. Punk?

Either way. Not trying to poo poo on other's fun. I just think this is like what you're supposed to do when you're sixteen. It's the same kind of shit I was doing when I was that age. Same with my uncles, and my cousins. I dunno. Seems normal to me.

I think your kinda right. It depends on where your from and how lucky you are. I have a sixteen year old who plays and he loves hardcore.....the only problem is that we live in a small town in MS so he's always playing with whatever kids he can find, and they aren't into hardcore.. One of the many great things about that video is that I bet 95% of their audience didn't get it.....and they didn't give a fuck. Also, they do Void....I mean if they just skated a little or something they would know Minor Threat or whatever....but those kids have dug a little deeper.....I think they get it.  That video is punk as fuck.

It's inspiring.

I agree. They are not just playing that song...they are playing the FUCK out of that song. It's fucking beautiful, just raw aggression...you see that kids cymbal go flying? I love that.

WI Represent! What was that Joe?

cool song, but judging from this he's not a dope mc. i love all that digi-hc shit.

cole needs the boom bap.

I really appreciate the help.....but honestly....here's the problem....I'm a white dude who lives and grew up in a town of about 3,000 people in MS....I really appreciate the help k, and jjbb....but what drew me to Death Grips is that the music really sounds a lot like punk. Maybe the dude is a shitty MC but his delivery is punk. I'm not a racist...far from it..i'm the most liberal guy in my neck of the woods...but still that Lil Ugly Mane dude is a little to urban for me. I just gotta find hip hop I can relate to.

Just listen to Too Short and be happy. There's so much good Hip Hop from years passed it's not even worth getting upset about the new sugar coated boogers anyway. Rap will be back again one day.

Dude I appreciate it, but I've heard Too Short...I'd rather just listen to Blowfly..Food for Animals is interesting..thanks! Dude on facebook hooked me up with MF Doom...I can get behind Super Friends samples.

Cannot justify spending twenty dollars on Death Grips. I dig the production, but the MC doesn't really do much for me. I happen to have a real soft spot for real fucked up rap music like this, even if I have criticisms of it, but I can wait a few years for this to go down in price by half.

i appreciate the fuckeduppedness as well but yeh the MC is kinda weak...sounds kinda like the RZA in a not good way....some of the production is kinda too glitchy sounding as well.  At least it's interesting, hip hop in general is at a pretty low point overall.

I don't really listen to enough hip hop to tell a good mc from a bad one. I just really dig the overall dark tone and weirdness of it. If anyone knows of any other really good, fucked up hip hop, i'd appreciate the rec. I'm really into this, and I thought this would be a genra that I would always dislike.

I've been ordering a lot from the new Slovenly distro lately....good service and they carry a lot of stuff(Crypt stuff) that I have trouble finding. Get that Sharp balloons 45 for sure. Goner has 'em.
