That's two embarrassing incidents of shitty bands playing "Dead Flowers" in this thread.

I like Marcuse. Along with Jacques Ellul, he was writing during the Cold War-era. They both realized critical thought was stifled either by the bludgeon (USSR) or by marginalization/harmless accommodation (capitalist societies). It's good stuff -- very readable, understandable and helpful, unlike some of their neo-Marxist peers (Derrida for example). The revolutionary potential is still there, irrespective of what Kim K. is wearing. Even France scoffed at Debord's papers being sold to a top-tier US university (France kept them). Debord's ideas are still there, irrespective of what the state (who kept him under surveillance) or market has to say about it. It's not just pie in the sky.
Yeah, you're probably right! I'm gonna amend that post: ANAL CUNT doing EDDIE GRANT's "I Don't Wanna Dance".
ANAL CUNT doing E.M.F.'s "Unbelievable". The vocals actually sound like a flushing terlet.
You sure you're not thinking of Killdozer here?
First time I heard it I laughed, second time forward I thought it was actually pretty kick-ass. Same with a lot of Killdozer covers.
"For Ladies Only" is an outstanding comedy/party record.
what about the Anal Cunt cover of the Theme from Three's Company?
I'm not real into electric blues (or rather, I'm real picky about what I do like) but Albert King and Magic Sam are right up there. I remember when I first saw this album in highschool I thought it was some 80s revivalist cause of how the cover looks like it coulda been an early hiphop album. The playing is good and all, but his voice is where the real money is.
Everything's dead.
