Went to a Chikara show last night, and really enjoyed it. Alot of people are down on that promotion, but it was the third time I've gone and had a blast every time.

Highlights: Sidney Balkabella and The Devastation Corp. are some of my favorite guys on the indies and they killed it as usual, really funny promos and heel heat manager tactics / crowd bating.

Missle Assualt Ant vs. Princess Kimber - A intergender match that was uncomfortably violent and seemed the complete opposite of the family friendly usual matches. It was very very violent and people seemed really torn on it. I thought it was great.

The Deucalion made his debut after the couple years of shutting Chikara down angle and he just destroyed everyone and was booked really strong. Has a really interesting one arm on the shoulder power bomb as a finish.

Also, the most carney of their shows I've been to as far as people hocking their merch, really glad these guys are back running shows more regularly.

Is there a way to watch this online yet? I (along with many others I'm sure) don't get the channel and have been really wanting to watch. I get the channel on demand for some reason, but it's not on there.

I got to see Joan a few years back at Newport. I think tickets were 100 for the whole weekend, but it was Joan, Ramblin' Jack, Guy Clark, Joan Collins, Pete Seeger etc. Well worth the money. For what it's worth I'd probably go so Vashti for 28 bucks.

Dont know what to think of these guys.  I dig their blatant rip off of PI but they come off as the cool hardcore band that all the cool kids like.  Kinda like Off!

Really? I really like this band and havent gotten the cool kid vibe from them at all. I guess except vice writing about them.

I went to the show the next night in Boston, and i stayed near the back and near the door, just in case. The show ruled, but worrying about an explosion in front of you not so fun.

and although not a podcast, I always suggest Listentoamovie.com especially if you work in an office. Really helps time go by. Aside from that I can list about 15 or so really good wrestling podcasts, but I believe that's a different thread.

So about a year ago the label we do got a huge mess up from the pressing plant. Instead of sending us our 250 records, they used the wrong plate and and we got a giant box of some Tori Amos inspired one sided EPs instead. We all kept one as a joke and the plant replaced the actual records fairly quickly. Now, we still have this giant box. I don't know a ton about lathe cutting, but I figure since the other side is completely blank vinyl, it's probably pretty easy to cut into? We're trying to get rid of them and maybe hoping if someone had a use for them and possibly broker a trade for some lathe cuts of our own or something. I dunno, anybody interested or know anyone who does this who might want to take these?
