After listening to it again I believe I can go without hunting it down. I guess the Killer Man re: that came out a couple years back was a boot? The sound isnt bad I remember correctly.

And that box thing is sort of bizarre. Reminds me of that Tampax reissue with the penis shaped hole that was cut out of the middle

Never heard that 1st Gasoline single. Fuck. That went fast. I mean 300...
Boxset is so dumb I'm almost game.

Really? Dis you think this a stormfront message board? Fuck you and that RAC garbage. I understand early skrewdriver but this shit is for douchebags who think they're somehow edgy and know little to nothing about punk records

Ay idea on when that City Limits LP might be coming in?

Seems like that Feeders has been floating around for some time. I'd like to buy a copy of The Red Squares 7'. Not a fan of paying a lot but I guess I understand it isn't a cheap thing to do

I went to a great dive bar 6 years or so ago next to Amoeba. Was looking forward to drinking there again when I visited a year or so later and it had turned into a yuppie wine bar. Destroyed any want to go to SF for me ever again.

Also watching a video about how Lawrence Ferlinghetti was getting priced out and tech yuppies chalked it up to economic Darwinism was enough to put me off of ever going there again.

Sorry, this is less than helpful.
Oh, I got in a fight with a neo nazi skinhead in the Bart last time I was here too. Good stuff

I always thought I would understand PiL when I got older. Now that I am older I realize it's just boring. Give me The Professionals any day over that pretentious crap.

Glad this is finally coming up...

I'd be totally interested to know if anyone has any intention of bringing some copies of this in North America

from the same label that did the Jetz LP few years ago...

Did anyone carry the Jetz anthology in Canada or the states? That one completely passed me by. I'd really like this one too. Germany seems to have decent shipping rates

I feel like the logical follow-up to this is flexies. Granted they don't happen much anymore, and when they did it was mostly in Japan. What are you supposed to do with these things? Especially collectibles?

I liked Stranger Things but -- maybe I wasn't paying attention -- did no one observe that it's just a more shaggy, but really only barely elaborated, Super 8?

I liked The Night Of but it lost lots of purpose and a bit of coherence in the last coupla eps.

Presently mopping up the rest of Deadwood.

Fretfully anticipating the major-label debut of High Maintenance.

Deadwood is one of (if not the best) show ever. Maybe a bit pretentious but there has never been a show that uses language in the way that it does. The reasoning is that people only read the bible and Shakespeare back then and mimicked both, and I'd gladly accept that as reasoning for the verbose dialogue. I could watch it again and again and find different nuances as I've found in watching Sopranos again. Although I did like Deadwood and The Wire much more

What did anyone think of the ending of The Night Of? I was not impressed

It was ok but lots of things I didn't like about it. Especially the development of Nas role figure, from a calm student to a badass jailbird in two seconds. A show that operates within a semi realistic storyline looses a lot of credibility with these kind of stunts. Even if Nas had a brief history of violence I have a hard time buying someone like him dominating a grim prison environment full with hardened criminals. For me John Turturro single-handedly saved the show, especially the focus on his foot eczema was quite genius at times.

Edit: Now I realize you ask about the ending. Don't have any problems with it, the murderer could had been anyone really, don't think it's  important to this particular show. The Night Of was more about memorable charachters and a dense storyline, something they only halfway succeeded with.

I had a problem with lack of foreshadowing (in regards to the resolution) and its seemingly want to fuck with me as a viewer. HOw likely is it that a victim such as her would have 3 immediate violent suspects immediately around her? It seemed a bit much.

The acting was great. Flawless really. I do think it sold itself short and sort of devolved into a more lofty Law and Order espisode. Along with this, I couldn't understand why there was never mention of how blood was virtually everywhere except on the supposed perepetrator. For all of its attention to detail, simple things like that  lost me.

Pointed Sticks.
Jet Staxx, Elton Motello I believe. A bunch of Belgian bands did I think. Stagebeast, for example that was recently reissued.

Caught up on The Night Of...Restoring my faith in drama although it finally showed some cracks. I still think it all falls together in a very natural. People say and do what you would expect someone to really say and do, but it remains so tense throughout...I do think there was a huge hint about the murderer at the beginning that was quite obvious but I haven't gone back to check my suspicions...Hard not to imagine Gandolfini in the roll...Or maybe Deniro, except I think he is beyond getting back his mojo...or is that him in drag as the DA??

I am enjoying this too. The last episode was a bit much as far as tying in another suspect as well as casting doubt on the kid. The only bit of evidence that he couldn't have done it is the fact that there was blood splatter on him. Beats the hell out of vinyl or the true detective season 2 disaster
