Exiled is good as is Mississippi. Seems like there is another shop every couple weeks or so. Also, check out Floating World comics. In the back there is a record section run by Paul (formerly of Discourage) and there is some pretty solid stuff there. For a while it felt like a hidden secret sort of thing. Picked up some great stuff.

What band reforms and performs at the same level as their legend?

Zero Boys.

Are the Zero Boys worth seeing?
I don't think they've been out here. I know Reagan Youth was and, after watching them on Youtube, I didn't bother with that.

Zolar X were something else. I think I remember the singer being dressed in tin foil or something. The Feederz were pretty strange too. I think the singer was wearing a shower curtain. I saw Bad Brains and I wasn't entirely convinced they were playing their instruments. They were very stoned.

And there's this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jzQWYic9yw

And so, theoretically, they could make a career of pressing 15 copies of a seven inch a couple times a years and selling them for 15 grand a pop

Vibrators

I saw the Vibrators a couple years ago and there were zero original members due to Knox being sick. It turned out sort of alright though because there were 2 members of The Members so they did Sound of the Suburbs and Solitary Confinement amongst others. Knox seems like a very nice guy.

i have been pretty lucky with reformed punk bands... i guess the ones i;ve seen weren't really doing it for the money, they were playing tiny little places, so they weren't just going through the motions and hating it. eg the Lurkers, Menace, 999... all great live shows (don't think any of them had the original singers tho). TV Smith is great doing his Adverts set (and his solo set, but i guess that doesn't count as reformed), the Buzzcocks are great. bands i didn't rate at all reformed have been big ones like the Pixies amd Pavement, just boring, but that might have been because it was in a big aircraft hanger rooms.

I've seen more than a couple that were good. The Partisans were very good, The Boys, Cocksparrer. I enjoyed seeing TV Smith as The Adverts are one of my favorites

I remember seeing a band (Submission Hold)I think at a venue in Socal where you had to remove your shoes to go inside. I sat outside instead so I could keep my shoes on and drink beer (they only served tea inside) while the people I was with I guess watched the show inside. I guess that would fall under worst venues or show experiences though

Many bands over the past decade have gotten back together at the cost of their dignity to reap the meager rewards of punk fame. My vote for the worst would be The Gonads simply because I hate them, they were always awful and Gary Bushel is a fucking douchebag. But there are just so many to choose from.

Having gone to a few of the Holidays in the Sun thing there would be some finalists for this. I guess that would be a different thread: worst reformed punk band. I never saw the Pork Dukes but sort of hope they would fit comfortably into that. Or the Gonads. Or Splodge. Most disappointing band I've seen were Angelic Upstarts. Mensi forgot the words to Teenage Warning.
I had the misfortune of seeing the Murder Junkies years ago. The drummer stuck a drumstick up his ass.

(dreadlock guy on acoustelectric, cute/sad bassist, guy in hoodie hitting a box and electric violin- not pictured)

I saw this band last weekend in a small town in Spain, a friend of a friend was in the band, and they were billed as "heavy grunge". It was their first show, and each member of the band had a typed photocopy of the 16 song setlist which included a pre-determined 4 song encore. The show lasted for 2.5 hours, which was at least in part due to the personal story hour between each song. Of the 17 covers they played, some highlights include Ben Harper, Metallica, new green day, & the beatles. After the first song of the encore (which was a "blues medley" featuring 2 jimi hendrix songs) everyone but the front man left the stage and refused to return. Everyone I was with really loved the band and on the ride home we listened to their demo for another hour. They are called "Harvest".

oh! and idk if you can see in the picture, but one of those goth kids is wearing a shirt that says "last son of kypton"

Well, fuck, I am absolutely sold on this band! The show looks pretty wild

It's strange that no matter how hard bands try they cannot re-create the '82 sound or more to the point song writing talent.

predator draws pretty heavy from the uk82 pool.  i think they do a pretty good job of re-appropriating it

Where is this band from? Reminds me a bit of Criminal Damage which is pretty great re-imagined oi/punk from here in Portland

Unfortunately, I never run into glam singles in the states. I think most, if not all the glam singles I've accumulated over the years have been from Holland, Belgium or France
