Music Shit / Marc Thor flexi
« on: September 07, 2016, 01:20:49 PM »
Just redisovered this - https://www.discogs.com/Marc-Thor-Mother-Isnt-Right-Rosanella/release/8581140

It was hidden on a shelf, and I had completely forgotten about it. I wonder if anyone has a rip of the flexi?

I've never heard it as the package it completely mint and intact, so I'm reluctant to rip out the disc.

Non-Music Shit / Vacation magazine
« on: May 21, 2016, 11:28:52 AM »
Picked up a few copies of this old SF based newspaper style magazine, but i'm struggling to find any information or pictures online.

Features loads of great photography, graphics, and stories/interviews with Steven Brown, DNA, John Lurrie...to name but a few. Ran for a few years, so I'm supprised I can't find anything online.

Would appreciate any info you have about it, and perhaps some scans, or PDFs of the full run would be amazing.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Just a Crush - Record Affair - All Dayer
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:29:13 PM »

JAC has asked our favourite independent labels across the UK to sell their records at Record Affair and showcase some of their best bands, bringing the community together and their records alive.

Record buying has become a virtual event and we rarely get to see the faces behind our favourite labels. Without them we wouldn?t have the aural pleasure of hearing our favourite bands in the comfort of our own home so it?s about time we supported the labels themselves.

The corner of the labels? living rooms get
a well earned break from storing boxes and boxes of records as Just A Crush transports them to the garden of The Shacklewell Arms for your record buying needs.

Leave your iPod at home and have a Record Affair.

We are very pleased to be putting out the debut release from this London experimentalist. This is two sides of creepy and complex psychedelia; an updated take on 80's DIY eclecticism, from the likes of Gareth Williams, Prominent Disturbance or L. Voag, with a hint of futuristic proggers such as Heldon. 275 pressed, comes with insert.

Check out the whole of side A here: http://soundcloud.com/savourydays/acolytes-known-nonsense-ep-a

The track titles are:

1. The Music of Erich Zann
2. Syncopated Sleep
3. The Agreement
4. Spiritual Wellbeing
5. The Band

Also a very small handful of some other releases left, including the recent Still Going In Offices comp.

Music Shit / Essential 2011 releases
« on: March 30, 2011, 02:21:17 AM »
The 'essential' thread for 2010 certainly helped me keep track of things, so here's the 2011 one. I thought maybe it was too early for this, but we're nearly 1/3 through the year already, so there has to be some stuff that simply should not be ignored. Its mainly the 7"s i can't keep track of

I'll start:

Dark Day - 'Window' LP re-issue and pretty much everything on the Dark Entries label
UV Race - 'Homo' LP
Busted At Oz - dunno if this is an easy-ish find in the states, but its certainly a very welcome re-issue over here.
Hygiene - 'Public Sector' LP
