« on: October 30, 2014, 01:29:01 PM »
hey everyone:

M'lady's is moving into our first ever office space, and while we were packing things up, I discovered a tiny grip of Petticoats 7"s that didn't get sold during the crazy melee we had few months back..

email brett@mladysrecords.com if you wanna know more, thanks

VEXX have not broken up, anyway; i dunno who MRR "Talked" to about this, but it wasn't the band and it wasn't us...
35
for the record, MRR shouldn't ever be trusted as a "news source"; they've never been anything more than a bunch of broke posers mad that they can't have any decent ideas and have dedicated themselves to making punk as tedious as possible for everyone else. MINIMUM ROCK N ROLL
36
Do shops still go through LITA for your stuff for wholesale?

Welcome back!!!

thanks! yeah, LITA is the place for wholesale action, shops email them at retail@lightintheattic.net
37
also, just got an unexpected return from one of our distros of a small quantity of HYSTERICS "Can't I Live? "7"s, so if you've been looking for one, get em while they're here: http://www.mladysrecords.com

hello dear friends:

(http://www.mladysrecords.com to ORDER MECCA NORMAL + VEXX / http://www.mladysrecords.com/friendsandneighbors TO ORDER THE REST)

NEW ON M'LADY'S (SOUND SAMPLE LINKS ON THE CATALOG PAGE FOR EACH NEW TITLE)

LPs are LIMITED ONE-TIME PRESSINGS for both titles

MLADYS 13 - MECCA NORMAL "Empathy for the Evil" LP/CD/MP3/FLAC
(their first album in eight years, and among their very best, and we say that as an outfit that considers their last record to be their best. produced by kramer and recorded by rat bastard in miami. it's incredible lyrics are distilled from two of jean smith's upcoming novels, and david lester's guitar playing and hypnotic energy propels everything into the highest atmospheres. mecca normal have long been one of our favorite groups ever, and it's a real pleasure to be working with them. get this now before it's gone, just sayin')

MLADYS 12 - VEXX "VEXX" mini-LP/CS/CD/MP3/FLAC
(astonishing debut mini-album - EP is not sufficient to describe this record, it's a monster - from Olympia, Washington's VEXX. a true force to be reckoned with; eight attempts to burn it down and somehow doubling down again and again. Detroit energy, the good kind, but filtered into Pacific Northwest candor and style and about to hit your town like an earthquake. This band is no joke - when we saw them for the first time at the Voyeur (all ages matinee with Hysterics), we both audibly gasped and looked at each other like "WHOA" - we still haven't recovered, and that's why this l'il gem is available in THREE physical formats. GET INVOLVED.)

BUT THERE'S EVEN MORE.

hi everyone

starting to prune my collection down some as we're heading into a really busy release schedule over the next year, so i'll start with this:

as far as i can tell, it's unplayed, white Rainbo labels that are blank (figured out what it was by matching matrix numbers), in a plain white dust sleeve, no pic sleeve.

i doubt i'll ever see one of these again, but i'm sure someone on here will enjoy it even more.

i'm asking $150 plus shipping to wherever you live. if that sounds fair please write to brett at mladysrecords dot com

thanks for looking

best, Brett

Hello everyone,

It's with a volatile mix of hubris and pleasure that we would like to announce THREE stacked-to-the-rafters all-ages punk shows, organized and promoted by us, M'lady's Records, to celebrate our 7th year of skulking in the underground. We've invited our favorite groups from the Pacific Northwest to perform, and happily everyone said YES. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Yellow Brick Road Street Outreach, Outside In, and Raphael House, three excellent Portland organizations doing amazing activist work.

Each show will be limited to less than 50 admissions, so please don't snooze on these ok!

I had to fly to the UK to pick up my copy in the pre-ebay 90s, but MINE has a nice original promotional insert, so neaner neaner.

Still bought a copy from this final stash. One of my top dozen essential EPs of the UK DIY movement

Petticoats
Desperate Bicycles (pick one)
Beyond the Implode (1st)
Performing Ferret Band
V/A Mell Sq. Music
V/A Weird Noise
Standing Flat
Instant Automatons
Homosexuals (pick one)
Metropak (1st)
Horrible Nurds
V/A Potent Human

good list. some of these 7"s have, in the past, come with hand-written labels and weird messages and lipstick kisses, and sometimes inserts? but yeah, these are almost gone, make haste young radicals

according to her, there were 2000 pressed in total, and the second half of those got caught up in some rumpus with distributors and never really went anywhere and slowly got siphoned out by all of you lovely people
