Greetings! Just hyping up the near future release for NYC's Goosebumps' second EP, Scared To See A Doctor. Here's the description:

"NYC's hardcore scumlords return with their crowning achievement as a band, the Scared To See A Doctor EP. Equipped with a far superior recording and eschewing the traditional hardcore mold of their first 7", the band has begun incorporating elements of drugged-out punk classics such as Fang, Flipper, and even Butthole Surfers to create a wholly unique hardcore punk experience that could only come from Ground Zero. Artwork by Heather Benjamin. (KW-028)"

"Best Friend": https://soundcloud.com/katorga-works/kw-028

The record will be ready for public consumption at the end of February, most likely. The band will be playing a record release show in NYC on 2/22. Here are the details:

GOOSEBUMPS
LA MISMA
LIBYANS (Boston/Chicago)
MERCENARY (Atlanta)
AJAX

@ 538 Johnson Ave, Apt. 201
Brooklyn, NY
8pm. $8, All Ages

Hope you enjoy!

« on: January 28, 2014, 01:41:10 PM »
Greetings again from New York's Alright 2014. We are here to make a bittersweet announcement. Unfortunately, Belgrado and Sect will not be able to play the fest this year due to visa/passport issues. It breaks our hearts, though who knows what the future holds for the fest and those spooky Spaniards. With this sad news comes some good news in that they will be replaced by Die from London and School Jerks from Toronto.

As you might know, we are announcing the lineups and venues for the specific shows on 2/7, a week before tickets go on sale. Stay tuned!

Goosebomps - don't know much about 'em, but this song's has got some cojones.

That recording is not being released. They rerecorded the whole EP and a new banger for a 7" that we (Katorga Works) are putting out. New recordings are SO much better than that 4-track recording. Should be ready by late February. I'll be posting a song from it once I get the digital masters next week.

If you want to know about them, they're dudes who play in a bunch of NYC bands: Hank Wood & the Hammerheads, Murderer, Missionary, etc.

I was supposed to put the Warthog and La Misma 7"s up for sale at midnight, but I'm going to hold off for a few days! Not everything is quite ready yet.

When they do go on sale, be sure to grab the Ajax demo too. And lots of a Toxic State backstock.

As for a new Wiccans release on KW, I'm not sure if anything is official, but I hope they want to do another record! Lol

Belgrado and Sect (who share members) can't stay in the country for too long, so there's no chance they'll be making it to Detroit or anywhere else not on the posted itinerary, unfortunately :/
